6. Correct me if I'm wrong, Charlie, you mean if he withdraws from the final test? The rival will not become a Kage automatically as he will be placed in Assorted Cluster to fight. Please read the mechanics.

I meant that someone would purposely lose, not withdraw.

Is that a problem? Why would you join the long test only to purposely lose? Also, it has nothing to do with how the election was designed. You could purposely lose anytime, at any scheme. It is not the moderators' problem though if you wanna lose. But I believe everyone here are eager to become a Kage.

Phew I easily get exhausted with long explanation.

1. If you got literally 0 in the previous exam you are eliminated as I have stated. Why would we let you proceed if you didn't pass or at least responsible enough to answer the second test. So in your hypothetical situation where Leebz got all wrong, he cannot proceed to the final test. So yes, the previous tests are not irrelevant or weighed less as you believe.

2. This is to test your basic skill and dexterity. Not your special skills or representation of yourself (Who said that?). If you aspire to be a Kage basic skill mastery should be easy.

3. To have a weak opponent may be tantamount to free ride. But, hey what can we do if your rival in your village is weak? You, therefore, are better and more deserving comparatively. As I've said, in real world if they have two candidates vying for presidency they have no choice but to be lead by either a weak or a weaker president.

4. Some say the previous two are irrelevant but look at your example if you scored 410 in the previous tests, isn't opting for 90 pts or 135 hp (x1.5) an advantage? Again this will be accumulated points.

5. People in Assorted Cluster should see this as a battle of territories, that someone is invading your territory, that Mars inviting cmsurfer for a fight means Mars trying to invade cmsurfer's village and he should defend it. The rest are just battling for one position in that certain village.

6. Correct me if I'm wrong, Charlie, you mean if he withdraws from the final test? The rival will not become a Kage automatically as he will be placed in Assorted Cluster to fight. Please read the mechanics.

7. If you have that mentality of "Oh he's better than me he's been here for years." then why did you join if you know you need more years and development to begin with?

8. This is a Kage Election. <-- That should speak a lot.

9. It is possible to have no Kage after this event and Vreg would be fine if that happens.

Now it makes me believe that the mid tiers (you gave this impression as you picture limits and Ken as above you) are prone to worries.

18
^That's surely gonna happen if your opponent is extremely weak and he couldn't do damage on you retaining your health points and consequently the points you get. The 500 points in this test is given so you have enough allowance, as we expect you will lose health points in the process. Giving you sufficient points like 350 or something is very tight we may end up with no one winning.

IMO you should give equal weight to each section.

Read my response to Nova.

Also there is a possibility that neither Ken or limits will become kages if they end up fighting each other.
According to the actual system, if you win with low health then you will receive less points. Between the two above it will be a close combat and the winner will most likely have low health therefore he won't get enough points to become Kage even if he is maybe the best player in the whole community.

Now you guys are painting as if other candidates are no match and should not even try or think of fighting these two. While it is true (according to you) that these two are good players, the other candidates should try and give it a shot. Also, if I'm limits, practically why would I only fight Ken if I can safeguard more points fighting other candidates I can surely beat?

21
The only thing I could give against it being that people who scored incredibly poorly on the first & second test, are able to still get enough points by simply rekking their opponent (if the opponent did well at both first & second test but aren't doing as prominent in the third they would lose their chance even though they overall did better.)

Oh this is not a problem. It is for that reason that each player has to do well in every test. The sense of responsibility should prevail. We don't want the "Oh I should not be worried with this shit Theoretical test, I'll do better in the Practical test." Then you won over your opponent in Practical test but have insufficient points. You'll be reminded with the points you could have gathered had you done better in the previous test.

22
Practical test is just so unfair.
I'll list off why

> The test should be fair, everyone should have the same chance to get kage
> Why should it be easier for some people?
Two of the best players may end up fighting (limits and Ken). One of these players will lose and in turn they will get 0 points for the in game exam even though they're the best in game.
Whereas an average player could fight a bad player and would get more points than the best players.
> People who did badly in every other test could still become kage if they had a shitty candidate to face against in the practicals and they didn't get negative points totalled from the other two tests

It would be smarter to have one person face everyone and assign points respectively to how well the candidates did
eg Nova fights all the candidates and you get points based on how many times you hit him.

This was created because you already have pre-judgments in mind that A is a better player than B. I don't, I see all of you with equal potentials. Also, if you are worried because limits might fight Ken and either of them will lose, then ask them to fight someone else to up their chance. It could be that the two candidates in other village are equally weak and one is not deserving to be a Kage. This is analogous to a country with two presidential candidates. They could be equally weak or strong but, that country, in our case, village has no choice but to have one of them. Candidates belonging in assorted cluster are just village leaders who should fight for their village and if you lose then the village has no kage.

It is close but has an entirely different context. Again, no.

1. Let's just hope someone from us (Nova, Vreg, Phone Star) will open a slot beyond 28th.

2. You mean 12th answer? Sorry, I can't check what's in your mind. Question, have you tried answering a question at school and got wrong on your paper so you pitched to your teacher that you have a different answer in mind, therefore it should be valid? I don't think so. Hypothetically, if and only if we accept your pitch, then others may also claim that what's in their mind and thereby should be accepted as well to be fair, that is to say if we open that door to you we should also open that door to others. There is no way for us to objectively validate the veracity of your claim. And no, not the "Trust me, I swear." as that does not happen in any exams, online or real life.

Also sucks that candidates which both deserve the position (from different villages) have to face off and only one of them obtains the position.

e.g limits fights ken.
These are the best two players in game but if they fight only one of them gets points from this test which doesn't really seem fair

Who says limits and Ken can only fight each other? limits or Ken may choose you, cmsurfer, Konohuro or be the left with an option of fighting against Vreg. (-_-)

Practical Test

Good day Shinobis. This is the final test you've all been waiting for -The Practical Test.

To proceed with this test, we require you to read the mechanics very carefully as this will determine your success in the Kage Election.

General Guidelines

1. All candidates who did not make it through the Theoretical Test are eliminated.

2. In the Practical Test, candidates will have to confirm their attendance by commenting below.

3. Choose your opponents by tagging his/her name.
    - Candidates in the same village will have to choose who to battle among themselves (i.e. you have no choice if there are only two of you unless he/she withdraws.)
    - Unique candidate from a village is grouped into assorted cluster.
    - In case your only opponent in that village withdraws, you are automatically transferred to assorted cluster and choose other candidates instead.

Clusters:
Ash - @Sanji vs @Shivraj
Dust - @DarthTyrael  vs @SirTroll
Thunder - @jcryer vs @Reminance
Assorted - @cmsurfer, @Ken, @Konohuro, @limits, @Mars

4. Candidates with no opponent left will play against Vreg.

5. A pair for the duel is sealed once the tagged opponent confirms by responding 'Yes' and 'No' if declines.

5. Events will be held every Saturday and Sunday only at time slots given. (UTC +00), Starting 13-Aug-2016 to 4-Sep-2016.

Game Guidelines

1. The goal of this test is to gather points to be added to your previous scores.

2. Each participant is given 500 points at the beginning of the game.

3. Your points will be deducted for every hp (health points) you lose.

4. In your 1000 health points, you have 250 health points = free. Deduction starts at 750 health points which accounts for 500 points. Simply said 1 point for every 1.5 health points.

5. The remaining health points, therefore, is your score/points divide by 1.5 to be added your previous points.

6. Duel ends when the opponent loses all his health points.

6. All jutsus are allowed.

7. You are required to log in an hour before the scheduled time.

8. Failure to participate in the duel will automatically eliminate the candidate from the Kage Election. The present side will be in the waiting list to play against  Vreg or others in the waiting list.

TO BE A KAGE, A TOTAL OF 500 POINTS IS REQUIRED.

Popularity Test Results

Again, to be a Kage a candidate is required to have a total score of 500 points after the three tests. For this test, your net votes are multiplied by 10 to get your scores. Negative points for this test will be deducted to the succeeding tests.

For the next test, Theoretical or Mental Test will have 300 points available for you to gather. Good luck!!!

General Discussion / Re: Your First
« on: July 18, 2016, 13:54:23 »
First Forum: Asia Finest Forum, I was 13 when I joined it. It still exists now.

First Anime/Manga: HunterxHunter when it first came on TV in 2004.

First video game: Tenchu

First important lesson learnt in life: That I need to work hard to get what I want. Mom told me money isn't easy when I asked her to buy me a beyblade she could not afford that time. I went nuts but realized it was fruitless so I worked hard, from saving money to get that toy I want to saving money to have a life I want.

First Crush/love: Long distance relationship lasted for 4 yrs. Ain't sharing.

First failure: Too much for me to remember. But the first failure I felt so responsible and guilty with was failing my algebra. I cried, manned up, and did my best to give myself a chance. Now I'm an engineer.

First fight/brawl: Grade school. When a bully threatened the entire class. I stood up, motivated my classmates to do so as well. Not a brutal fight but a fight against bullying. The guy was later transferred to another class.

First achievement that means the most to you: There are also a lot like winning literary and music contests. However, the one I felt so responsible and proud of is passing a 3-day national licensure exam for engineers. April 2013.

First adventure: Aaah nostalgic. I would consider my adventure with friends to play in a mini-forest parents told me not to go to. There were cows, snakes and some dangerous insects there.

First friend: Hahaha. When mom was away, she asked a woman to babysit for me. Her son became my friend. Now we're taking different paths of life. Sad, but I think he made choices that do not match mine. No hurt feelings just souls finding their true calling.
