Hey thank you!

And about the cylinders, they're regular cylinders having 18 side polys and the two caps, so totally no more than 20. It's the smoothing groups that make it look smooth. Now if you're using blender there's a way to do this. I've never used Edge Split myself when I was using blender but it seems to be working fine. Here's a tutorial:

Ah okay :) Yeah, I know of edge split :P Coming from Maya, Blender's modifiers kind of scared me and made me wonder if they was faking geometry, or actually creating more geometry xP
Anyway, I'll probably have a 3d thread soon too where I'll put some future works.

Looking forward to see more of your work :D
