I'll start.

Morigakure: The Ravenous Bear Of The Southeast
On this village, people are blessed with scenic vistas, rich flora and fauna and abundance of natural resources. Morigakure itself lies in the southeast region of the shinobi world separated from the rest for its bastion of thriving mystery within a sunny and verdant utopia. It has long been known for locally grown crops and foreign merchants regularly dock their ships at a nearby harbor to trade exotic produce. Along the river banks grow endemic glowing mushrooms coveted by illegal merchants for their medicinal values and chakra enhancing effects.  The people live with a booming economy. Though becoming successful is not hard, most people are entirely content.
 
The harmony on this land began to be threatened 20 years ago when a terrifying attack of shinobis from other regions engulfed the skies over the peaceful people of Morigakure. Soon spread the alarming activities conducted by clandestine organizations. They harm the people and tried to monopolize the resources.  Chaos and paranoia swept over the land, forcing the people to flee from their homes while the rest of the world quarantined the whole forest, a land onto itself.

From this apocalyptic wreckage rose brave shinobis who hailed a new Kage driven to protect their dying land. Fine shinobis, few in numbers but formidable in the battlefield. They had to do everything to bring back their home that they resort to using forbidden jutsus otherwise be cursed in perpetual doom.

One day, while a group of shinobis was holding a sacred ritual, without a warning their own people attacked....

Politics
Mukokage functions as the head of state. To become a mukokage, one must receive the majority of the people’s votes. While very democratic, most people favor the election of a shinobi with wood release kekkei genkai as they believe these people have strong connection to the spirits of the forest.

Economy
Morigakure’s economy boasts as one of the largest economy in the shinobi world. Primary exports include agricultural, mining and textile products. After the attack the economy has rapidly dwindled.

Culture
One of the distinct culture of Morigakure is animism and spirit divination. They believe that the powers of their protectors (shinobi) are vested by the forest spirits they call shiro oni. Food is far from glamorous but ingredients are traded for expensive culinary outside the land. Before the invasion, foreign and local travelers enjoy the organic alien-like architecture made from thousand aged trees. At night, visitors are bedazzled by the sight of glowing mushrooms and dancing tri-colored fireflies.

Technology
Modern technology like electronics has slowly spawned in the entire land but people are reluctant in this transformation. Well accepted technology includes, mining, medicine and wood preservation.

Military
All shinobis undergo intensive jutsu training. Their centralized dojos are meant to recruit talented shinobis and develop unique fighting skills. Chunin exam is conducted twice a year. Students are expected to win against their sensei to pass the exam. Jonins are selected from illegible shinobis who have successfully completed more than 10 S-rank missions. Under the kage’s provision, a shinobi can be assigned as an ANBU.
