It feels like wow, I want to burn this idea with fb. Tbh an academy style tutorial would be more storyish, where you practice throwing kunai, fighting ai student or players in melee and ranged ( never to the death) and using whichever jutsu vreg picks as first for your primary nature if any. With the shinobi world turmoil players will get tested so soon, in using a basic jutsu selected randomly form a list limited to their chakra nature or a non nature jutsu that is there if any ) then get their headband or whatever. Ofc npcs will give the quests, but if you use the same trickle reward system, it feels sooo lame. No one in the ninja world gives one piece of armor away. Why wouldnt they give you the rest too? your life is on the line.

   Also being sent to fight random bandits to the death has no meaning. academy setting allows you to pursue the goal of passing the npc expectations or the quest requirements to get headband and weapons/armor and become a registered ninja available to take missions for the village, ofc you can split them up, but not in pieces for goodness sake! having it instanced is a very good idea, as you would end up with a lot of ppl just running off into the world  and never becoming a registered ninja lol. Not that choice is bad lol!

lol just a suggestion, but please please please make this game better than dumb mmo quest system.
   
@America  know your idea was for the current or soon before alpha, but with the current amount of jutsu and gameplay that lacks complex mechanics for getting around or fighting in 3d, you wont need a tutorial besides the menus which only most br cannot read, til we actually have mechanics that need explaining lol!

The one thing that sticks out to me, is how you can read your oppoents moves when they can turn on a dime with wasd lol. The movement system would have to gain a bit of realism in the way you place your feet or use weight before this could happen

My point was that your org is going against the grain of village system, must have not made it clear enough.It is a merc org, without loyalty to a specific area. Also I know its not missing nins for now, but should the villages have the org encounter and fight ninja from their village and they survive, likely will classify any members from their village as rogue/traitor ( except for the time they hire your org lol ) 

   I did not know most were just soldiers, good to find out.

In case anyone missed it, this is what a ninja should be. You play in your village and serve your kage pretending you fight for a country, which does make one black ops. I do find it funny that people think they need to make an org that does what ninja should do, tho it is a good idea I suppose


        running a ninja org not tied to village might be unusual tho, I suppose it is not redundant lol missing nin are the ones who are hired and such like ninja traditionally were. naruto takes a diff stance and it is unique though it shows you why most village ninja can bother not being stealthy when they have pride in a village the size of goku XD

It doesnt matter if they can remember, because the number of jutsu one has can vary this way, by person. also you can write them down and eventually get muscle memory. if everyone could remember every jutsu it would be interesting but also horrendous. same with remembering none. ppl will be attracted to certain ones and learn them like in naruto.

It will matter more what you are used to using, esp with ranged jutsu having no crosshair ( but directing them better will be added lol ) 
kakashi never uses more than a few jutsu in a fight,tho he knows a thousand as an example

lol Training is suppsoed to take time but the question is what will be improved. Anyway keep up the work (whether its used or not ) its interesting to think about hwo to actually implement training in a way that encourages it while maintaining stats within the (ninja) but fairly human limit

Its what happens in a modern world. Also we do tend to give new members who post a lot pushback for some reason. Nature of the org does not help, @ 90% chance of making conflict because it has uchiha and vegan in the name, and this person is confident in their stance.
