First it was the game that had my attention, and then i made a lot of internet faggot friends.
There were times when i thought of leaving, and so i did but i always came back because of this nice and toxic community :3
Anyways, Tsuna be happy that people are making threads keeping the forum alive even if they do look similar.

Why I'm here, would be 'cause I love 'most' of the people here, even though they're assholes sometime(and future terrorists), they still cool.
(Not to mention Vongola, I'd do anything for the family ^^)

I was looking for a naruto mmorpg of at least WoW and TOR Quality!!
What I found was a project that had the goal of
Living a life of a Shinobi in a naruto like universe.
I stay because I beleve in the project and what this game could be... and In the people making it... I disagree with a lot of stuff some times and come across as an ass some times, but my only goal is to see this project completed to the intent of the project... and I think that a healthy amount of disagreement is good to give perspective to the developers because sometimes I think there so focused on the development they can't see the big picture.
No one benefits from someone how constantly agrees with every word utterd by the dev's.

Wanted to play SLO because it promises everything I hoped for and wanted in a Naruto-based MMORPG.
That being said it's mainly because of the community (devs included) that I'm staying, as I've made quite a few friends.
A game can still be good and not make you want to stay because of the community and the developers that are in it. You guys are awesome <3

Sincerely, I'm waiting to play to full game because I really love the idea of how much freedom we should have in the game. It's essentially a life-like game with give you the possibility to move a lot more than the classics MMORPG.
I played Metin2, TERRA, Cabal, 4 story etc.. And I always find that problem. It's annoying! Yeah maybe the story and the places are amazing! But I can't move the character the way I want or go wherever I want. The way of you can use skills/abilities it's to straight. Like am AoE skill, kinda our Jutsu of Fire, it only goes straight(in normal MMORPG) ! So if the opponent had changed his position.. Well... You understand. While in SLO you can change and spit fire all around 360 degrees! Cool!
Essentially I love this game for the fact that it's a lot more life-like game!
After that, I meet this community and.. Hell. I kinda love it. Don't take it wrong mate. I mean like friends AHAAH
I wanted to write this this morning but.. Work. >.>
Oh well... I'm wondering if there's someone else like me in this community.

Aside from dubbed DBZ back in the day....Naruto is the very first anime/manga I really got into. It basically opened the door to this world for me. This was over ten years ago....
That aside, the shinobi theme is extremely strong from an MMO perspective and while a few others have tried none have been able to carry it out . From what I've seen so far there's been a lot of good design decisions made by the SLO team that will appeal to more dedicated fans of sandbox games and the theme alike (as opposed to the general on-rail themepark mmos that most mmos are these days).
Also honestly the textures we're seeing in these dev blogs are pretty amazing. I'm blown away with what an Indie team is producing for free right now...

Well, they know that they'll earn money if SLO comes to realization, so why not go for it.

I guess my reason's would be the same as taiga's. After reading the description on the home page I swore to myself to never leave this forum, I read through the FAQ and EVERYTHING was exactly how I would have done it. Even better!! the fact that the game will have a sandbox quality, be heavily character influenced yet remain with a wide array of tasks/opportunites creates a unique sense of purpose for any user that plays. I mean the villages alone are something else, there is literally something for everyone, and the lack of levels and skill points as well as the fact there will not be cheesy upgradeable armour was the main reason I even made an account! And then when Vreg said that travel to each village would take 2-3 hours... I mean imagine the size of the maps ftw fml!!!! Like even if the community wasn't absolutely jokes I would have stayed xDD there's no game that could possibly get anyone as excited so early into it's development.
I think the fact that we are all here is already testament to it's success. Both present and future.

The Ultimate Ninja series wasn't doing it for me. I needed more interaction in the game + my own character and the description on the home page sold me.

Cause its the game that I found on a steam comment about a month or something after Vreg had made this project for school, and I've been here so long observing the changes and growth.
(I'm mainly waiting to create my character in the final game xD)
