What are these Legendary Weapons for? I don't quite understand.

Today I'll be talking to you guys about two very intriguing systems that I originally thought up a while back for potential DLC-like Skyrim expansions that would add an unparalleled level of immersion to the game. Immersion is always something that has interested me in video games, it adds a level of detail that just isn't available in other games. This immersion also adds a realism factor, something that we are seeking out in Shinobi Life Online so that we can simulate, well, Shinobi life. On top of that it just simply gives the game a kind of uniqueness not available in any other games. That's what I'm seeking out with my two possible future feates, I'm seeking out the capacity for our game to be unique. It's important to me that we achieve this because at its current stage the game has the capacity to be so much more than anyone has imagined.

I want the game to draw people in and that's why I'm introducing you guys to Hobbyist first, Hobbyist being a system I hope to build the other feature in here off of. Hobbyist changes everything for a game, it lets your character do things you can't normally do in games and use human interface devices to do so. By moving your mouse, or using a specialized glove that interacts with your computer, you are able to simulate a wide range of things that you just can't simulate in other games. You can cut someone's hair in real time and watch the pieces fall to the ground, and while the programming skill required for this would be enormous we have a highly talented team. It's this kind of technology that I want to see implemented into the game, for this kind of technology can be patented and make Vreg Industries all that much more industry-changing.

Lastly in this episode of Mordredeon's dreams that could be brought to reality we have Professionalism, something that pairs with Hobbyist perfectly. Professionalism is a system that provides the experience of your character actually having a job in a way that is fun and not begrudging. It may or may not add mini-games to make things funner, and allow you to better equip your character with life-effecting skills. By intertwining with my proposed skill system, Sukiru, Professionalism and Hobbyist help make the game all that better and provide a fully satisfying experience that makes you hungry for more at the same time.You have to remember that we are actually living the life of a Shinobi or even a civilian through this game and that is what makes us special.

Once more mordredeon has returned to give another suggestion to bolster the realistic, highly in-depth feeling that our little love in the form of a game is supposed to deliver. To ensure that newer players get a good grasp of the game and how it works at a point when the game is more complicated than it will be for a while, I propose an Academy. This academy will of course teach both Shinobi and Non-Shinobi, but at first will most definitely teach the basics of the game and if they want to learn more than that then they can. This will allow us to deliver a much more life-like simulation of the game, and let us ensure that people are able to figure it out more easily than most games. This also spares us from endless streams of questions from new people, since they don't magically know what they need to know when they log in it is just a precaution to avoid getting annoyed with and exploding on them.

Included in this wondrous simulation of the academy will be teachers that will be a mixture of NPC's and players who are well versed in the game so as to let them experience a bit of the roleplaying experience given. Secondly, an overview that's in-depth enough to provide someone with the skills to participate in the majority of the game well will be given. This overview will include combat, Jutsu, crafting, and a variety of other things specially crafted to provide users with what they need. Aside from making sure that they get a grasp of roleplay and the skills to properly function in the game it will do a variety of things, such as give them a new kind of experience.

Hopefully this isn't a completely useless suggestion and it's one that will actually work out well for the game, but if it isn't then I still have an entire list of suggestions that are actually applicable to go through.

I've been having some serious issues in the game. A) Sometimes there's tearing, as in the game gets a random black mass shooting up in the sky, or it looks like a mountain show out an intangible but very much visible spike of rock into the ground, and more, B) The game won't fit into my browser with my TV, I have to zoom out 30 percent to make everything fit and even then it doesn't work well because of the scaling YOU guys have, and finally C) For some reason with this game I'm having an issue I never had before with unity or this computer, it's not only making unity crash but it's making my display driver crash and it's really quite irritating.

A massive overhaul in one of the defining features of the game is not only wanted but is actually absolutely required for this game to be as successful as intended. Shinobi Life Online is a reiteration of Naruto as it would be in all its glory remade digitally with a few enhancements of our own. In spite of all the developers have done or had planned I still see issues with these systems, even though many of them have not yet been implemented. This is what has driven me to deliver the Clans & Organizations: Reiterated to you so that we can deliver what we promised, so that we can deliver Naruto in a perfectly digitized form. As such this massive overhaul not only meets a few of the issues we've seen with the current clan and organization system but actually delivers some much needed immersion.

Clans here were to be seen as a place where people with Kekkei Genkai founded a clan, but this had not come into realization and yes there is an underlying issue. Not all clans in Naruto have Kekkei Genkai, many of them actually were not even primarily Shinobi clans at all and they rarely displayed special abilities (special abilities are something I'll get to at a later time) most of the time. This is why I've realized that the best way for clans to be programmed into the game is for them to display rarity in the amount of Kekkei Genkai that are available, because if we just go handing these out then they're rare. That way everything can run smoothly and we won't have to worry about an overflow of Shinobi and Kunochi more powerful than they should be

With Kekkei Genkai we should see each of them being hand-crafted by the developers and put into the system to randomly be given to someone as long as that person is active. While this would take extra work on their part and work to constantly balance things out, though of course some Kekkei Genkai may be more powerful and at times even more practical than others, it would add a depth unavailable in other games taking place in the Naruto world. This depth is what will ensure that we are able to hold our own in the game world, and truly prepare something that the world has never before seen. I'm hoping that by doing these things that we as a community will be able to come together and work together to deliver to our players something amazing, refreshing, and fine tuned.

In addition to these Kekkei Genkai being well balanced, well thought out, and a part of the game that we are dedicated to realizing in a beautiful way they would be an extension of the skill system I already proposed. The Kekkei Genkai would be unique and as such would have a unique development to it with different paths able to be taken. Each of the KKG's would have two to three different paths able to be taken, each of these paths having a variety of skills and abilities you could learn. Yes, while this could prove to be a hardship to the development team if they don't have enough staff or take on too much at once after the first dozen or so Kekkei Genkai are made the staff could take a break for a while and then get back to work on adding more due to the way that they are given out. I sincerely hope that this is able to be realized because what it would do for us is so breathtaking, no one has done something like this before, with this detail of work, and it would get us the recognition we need.

Finally, clans and organizations would see the more powerful organizations and most Shinobi clans getting access to Jutsu specialized to them (with the power based on the power of the leaders/founders, the village, and a variety of other things, though if they belong to multiple villages and are widespread enough then you could end up with some very unique non-elemental combat and utility Jutsu). This insures that additional uniqueness is added to each organization and clan, and that as they grow that organizations may even get more Jutsu, better Jutsu, or simply upgrades to the ones they have. This will allow us to venture much deeper into the roots of immersion in this game and let us fulfill the wild fantasies that we will be able to enjoy once the game is made. Overall I hope for organizations and clans to be recognized as unique, for that's what they are and they should be treated as such.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Chīmu - Shinobi Team Dynamic

Hey guys, it's mordredeon here once more to bring you the latest innovative feature for the beloved game that we all have come to know as Shinobi Life Online. As a member of an ambitious project like this I'm going to give it my all to devote as much as possible to you guys and the development team. It's important to me, oh so very important to me, that this game is able to achieve a lot more than anyone thought it would ever be able to. So, today I have written up a great introduction to what I hope will become one of this game's most well renowned features.

Shinobi Life Online is considered a simulation of the life of a shinobi, so whatever you may say this game has to keep its promises. That being said it's really important that it fulfills this category wholly and makes use of the skills of the development team to create what I like to call Chīmu. Chīmu is known as the Shinobi Team Dynamic and is one of the features that will help redefine the MMOARPG genre through Shinobi Life Online. Chīmu takes the traditional team dynamic seen in the Naruto anime and manga series and realizes it in a virtual form.

This realization of such a classic thing to appear in Naruto, the very thing that helped create the hierarchy of Shinobi, will allow us as a community to say it was we who were the ones who created a simulation of Shinobi life. By doing so we will have guided Shinobi Life Online into a hall of glory, a hall of fame, so well known that only we have been crowned with such a great esteem. We will redefine the meaning of an Indie game with Shinobi Life Online and not only redefine the industry but bring the entire community of Naruto together as one.

Personality:

The Assassin -

Let me set something straight in case you get confused in farther portions, sentences and paragraph of the Lady Keres's personality, she is an assassin first and foremost so if a contract was accepted she would do her best to fulfill it. Driven not only by loyalty but by the feeling of dishonoring her word and losing her pay check to finish any contract accepted, if it is accepted, Lady Keres is willing to go through extensive means to achieve her goals. That is to say, it is highly unlikely that you will survive the encounter with her and more than likely that your body will end up disappearing or, depending on the contract, be scrubbed clean of any trace of her and instead just left outside of whatever area specified to leave you outside. Part of her utterly ruthless, brutal and highly efficient skill, style and methods, "the assassin" is something that allows her to tactically navigate through most situations with ease. Essentially, her personality is one of an unforgiving, ambitious, extremely confident bitch that is willing to do anything to achieve her goals, well, almost anything, except for things that involve betraying close friends, though she will do that if necessary.

Unfortunately, for every target of hers, she has never, ever failed at achieving her means, except for once, and that was the only battle where she decided not to kill someone, that someone being [Redacted] at his start. For that contract and that contract only, she let them go, a feat that was only due to the honorable feeling acquired once she knew there was someone like her, as good as her out there, and she measured her skill against his. This extends into her obsession, her hobby, the hobby of perfecting herself, and being an assassin, being the assassin to hire, ensures that she is making progress in this area of her life, no matter the outcome which is almost always in her favor. This is essentially a little "quirk" in her personality that forces her to allow herself to kill, maim, torture, manipulate, etcetera, the very same quirk enabling her to allow [redacted] to live, though whatever means she uses to change her mindset this rapidly are unknown.  Fortunately, for most targets that she is set out to kill, the Assassin in her ensures that their death is a quick one, unless they are supposed to be tortured and maimed before death, maybe they won't even be killed, maybe they will just get their asses handed to them and their bodies forever injured.

Whether there be torture, humiliation, mutilation or just outright killing you involved in her latest contract, mark my words, the Lady Keres will succeed for the Lady Keres never, ever fails in her goal of killing her next target. The assassin inside of her won't allow failure to happen and if she "fails" the contract, she will hunt you down anyways, returning your head and the head of anyone that got in her way to the person who hired her, free of charge, just to make the point that she is the best in the business. She is out there outgunning the likes of [redacted], out cutting the likes of [redacted] and performing acrobatic feats superior to that of the [redacted], Lady Keres is truly the best assassin on the planet, possibly the second best thief and one of, if not the, best martial artists ever to live. Once you are in the Lady Keres's unforgiving, penance giving glare, the sights of her blade and gun, you will die, for she never, ever fails, no, instead she succeeds at every goal given to her, faster and better than anyone else. A master in every single type of disarmament, well versed in the anatomy of humans and thousands of other creatures, knowledgeable in the psyche of even the most insane beings, the Lady Keres is one of the deadliest people you will ever encounter, so prepare to die.

Honor -

Many do not understand Lady Keres's capabilities in the fields of martial arts and various other things, far fewer losing their understanding of that when they discover that she also has a spiritual side. Trained by her teacher in both the physical and spiritual side of Martial Arts, she engulfs herself not only in the studies of physical perfection but in the studies if spiritual perfection, following some kind of moral code that equates to honor, loyalty and other things. Lady Keres's code of honor and morals cannot be underestimated in any way whatsoever, for that would be a failure on your part, meaning that she is absolutely and utterly loyal to her contracts, and her allies, even old allies such as [redacted], until betrayed or the contract is called off. Being part of what makes her as dangerous as she is, her honor is a closely guarded secret kept hidden by another part of her emotional and psychological make-up, a mask that has the real Keres in it but is hiding another part of her. Many more people will not understand the spiritual side of Keres because it would catch them off guard, stunning them and ensuring that they don't really get her because of the utter and complete differences in what they heard about her and the real her.

Due to being as spiritual and honorable as she is, Lady Keres has done things that most would think her incapable of doing or completely and utterly unwilling to do, even if she was being controlled in some way most wouldn't believe she would do this. At one point in time, she has gone so far as arriving to aid the [redacted] via threatening someone who pushed the [redacted] around, trying to take up leadership of the [redacted], alongside every single being ever recruited into the [redacted]. Her honor has driven her to aid old allies, such as [redacted] when he was injured by [redacted], she aided him in regaining his skills, though it is unlikely that even old allies would avoid her death giving fists if she accepted a contract on them. Fortunatly, for her friends, it is unlikely that the Lady Keres would accept such a contract on an ally, even one she was slightly neutral about, due to her honor code, one that almost always ensures her loyalty, for all but [redacted], that is, she seems quite obsessed with him. Continuing on the last sentence, she has an obsession with testing her skills against [redacted] and the entire [redacted] Family, meaning she likes the feeling of defeating them, though it is almost always to test the development of their skills.

Keres also has the side of her that gives mercy, no matter how rarely this side shows itself it is quite evident that it is very powerful and influences Keres in nigh unnoticeable ways that even the best trained eyes on the planet can't see. Maybe even Keres herself is unable to see what this side of her that gives mercy to a select special few is doing to her, but it is almost certainly tied to the spiritual side of martial arts, enabling her to make choices that matter. Having gained the majority of her apprentices through a method of mercy, apprentices such as the [redacted], Keres's honorable and mercy giving personality may be more prevalent than last thought, though the activity of it has grown less and less noticeable over the years. Even some of her old masters had garnered so much interest that the choose to keep them alive, much like she choose to outright pull the [redacted] out of a river after stabbing him in the head.

Obsession -

Lady Keres's so-called hobby is more of an obsession that has, very much so, led her to develop into the cold hearted, effective, and, oddly, at certain times, merciless and honorable assassin she is today. Seeking to utterly perfect her own fighting style, Lady Keres's will comes from extensive training in dozens if not hundreds of martial arts in a period of time that was disturbingly short, allowing her to seek out more masters. These "Masters" of Keres's were the best in their chosen martial art, the highest order of grandmasters, and she manipulated them into teaching her what they knew, learning what she could, before killing them if they no longer gave interest to her or couldn't offer her anything else. Though merely human in both mind and body, many will argue that Lady Keres's skill in hand-to-hand combat is utterly unmatched, and it is the hope of many that, if encountered, she will spare them like she spared the [redacted], even training them, we will get into that later. Her obsession is also the Lady's weakness, proving to be an issue for others and making Lady Keres a danger to herself as she seeks out the best fighters, through contracts or otherwise, on the planet and attempting to kill them merely to test her skills.

Despite being a glaring weakness to the best trained eyes on the planet, such as those belonging to [redacted], Lady Keres's obsession, or hobby, is simply a strength as well in that it fuels her to be better, it fuels her to do what she does. Without this wrongfully named "weakness", she wouldn't be able to do what she does, she would be unable to control her emotions, she would lack the ability to literally control her blood flow and how much she bleeds, she would lack the capability to be immune to truth serums. That means that Lady Keres wouldn't be who she is today without this piece of her personality, this hobby, this obsession, this weakness, and this unforgiving strength that manages to put her in between a rock and a hard place while managing to get her out. Fortunately, she recognizes it as an obsession, unfortunately she doesn't recognize what it has done to her as bad, seeing it as something good, and that may be what it is, but it may be something entirely different as well. For those around her it is a giant, complex problem that most will not be able to comprehend, for those, well, some of those, working on the same intellectual level as her, it is a beautiful and complex painting that makes her who she is.

After recent run-ins with gadget users, Keres has begun to recognize the need for more than just her fists and feet, a development that some like her can't begin to understand. Proving to be adaptable, extremely intelligent and very capable, even more so before, she's customized her suit, taken up several oriental weapons, namely Katanas, kunai, shuriken and senbon, along with advancing to the "next stage". Lady Keres has officially recognized the need to evolve and adapt, despite her obsession, learning that hitting and kicking are not the only useful ways to use her body, ensuring that she has become deadlier as time passes over. Even though some would think of it as abandoning her former goal of perfecting herself, her natural body and her natural mind, Lady Keres recognizes that the technology and techniques with said technology she uses are the natural, and in fact many of these pieces of "technology" are part of several different martial combat styles. The Lady Keres you used to know is still here, just with a piece of her soul gained back, the piece of her soul that effectively utilizes weapons in a way that allows for her to merge them with her combat style, no matter how rarely they are used.

History:

(Note, I wanted to make sure that everyone knew the history of the organization was like this for a reason. It is basically one big lie, Keres is a sociopath who can lie really, really well, so just... ya'know, you've been lied to...)

In the beginning of the Age of Shinobi all peace in the world was lost to the greeds of mankind as soon as so many had learned how to weave Chakra for their own needs. This ability to have control over such a powerful energy was not made for the minds of mere mortals to bare, nor was what this meant made for those same minds to comprehend. I'm quite afraid that it rendered men, women and children so much more human than the Gods of our world and the Gods that reigned over our deities had intended. Our pantheon didn't want this, we weren't supposed to become so powerful, we weren't supposed to be able to become like them so much so that we bent reality. No matter who they were, whether they were the young or the old, the smart or the stupid, the powerful or the weak, they were afflicted by Chakra in such a way that it made them evolve.

Our world had been an Eden before them, the great prophecies of a savior's return to take us back to paradise had already been fulfilled and we ruined that chance. For the first time in millennia we eons our species experienced travesty's so great that they were akin to the influence of the Dark Sun that had ravaged our planet so long ago. The Dark Sun had finally peeled back the creative curtain created by the White Dusk and penetrated our world once more so that it may taint us with its corrupt seed. This was something that went on even during the reign of the Six Paths, and decades after but there were people, special beings that were watching. They were the immortals of this world and they saw that there was a better path for man, and that while it could not be returned to perfection a path of both light and darkness imbued in a teacher who would teach the masses would save our race.

One great woman, the first great female ninja, had devoted her life to ensuring that the people who she loved ,” the people of her village, were defended from the great many abomination in the world. This woman and her devotion were what caught the eyes of the immortals and thus they gave up up everything to right a wrong the protectors of this planet should have never let happen. This sacrifice that the immortals gave up was one of their life force, they gave their very lives, their everlasting lives, to ensure that somehow the species would survive. While the woman gained no supernatural God-like powers, the sacrifice of these immortals reshaped the very road that fate itself traveled. She would not die in a carriage crash with her child, the beginning of a great line, no this brave Himitsu , descended from an ancient line of Shinobi, would thrive, and so too would her child Keres.

Thrive the child did and all around her people flocked as she beckoned for them to come, and come they did, come from far and wide across the globe these great many did. At the age of sixteen Keres had so many friends loyal to her in such a way that they were deemed an organizational entity. Upon hearing this she began organizing her great many, with the closest of these great many being christened the Cabal. They organized quickly, smoothly, and efficiently while hammering out their goals in a massive effort that should have been orchestrated yet somehow they knew just what to do... And thus the Dusk of the Age of Shinobi began.

Purpose/Goals:

Stability: Tosogare is devoted to bringing stability to the world through any means possible, even if it means waging a centuries long war against the rest of the planet so that they may survive.
Wealth: Tosogare finds that wealth is a necessary part of their life as Shinobi, they are funded by the wealthy Keres herself but as a businesswoman she is finding new ways to improve their skill
Power: Tosogare is devoted to achieving power to fulfill its other goals, they intend to do this by recruiting those with potential and fine-tuning them into killing machines and experts of their fields
Knowledge: Our organization is devoted to the gathering and archiving of knowledge and artifacts to raise power by learning what they can from the knowledge and making use of the artifacts

Unique features: Each faction member has a tattoo of a simple black crown with three points placed on their body somewhere

The Cabal: The Cabal is a council of leaders that run the organization, they are each given their goals in the beginning, the heads of departments are located here

The White Glove: The White Glove are the elites of each of the Cabal, they are their knights, their champions, and there is a maximum of two champions per Cabal member.

The Dark Blade: The Dark Blade are the grunt workers of the organization, but don't be mistaken for they are each strong

The life of a shinobi should be an experience able to be enjoyed by everyone in a way that lets players truly realize their characters. Not only should they be able to mold your character's physical aspects like clay, you should be able to do so much more. You as a player should be able to do whatever you want to do, beginning with a base set of skills and slowly expanding and evolving them in an intricate event that can only be called art. This is what will allow you to start out as an academy genin and one day become one of the most powerful of all of the Shinobi. This is the system that has helped define not only SLO as a unique MMOARPG, but also redefine the experience you will have when you develop your skills.

With over three hundred different skills, dozens of developments of them, and on top of that the fact these skills actually play a part in how you play the game our character is able to be anything they want to be, even if they aren't exactly a shinobi and are just a civilian. It's so realistic that if your character is the intuitive type you can even learn a skill with minimum instruction, or even without a teacher! You should know what to do, how to live life, how to cook, how to swim, and be able to improve these skills dynamically based on how you use them and even lose experience in them if you don't use them often. This dynamic interaction between player and game improves the realism of SLO compared to other games drastically. Meanwhile, the depth of the skills and the level of training you can partake in with them means that you never run out of things to do.

Note: I am open to actively partaking in the development of this system by providing a dozen new skills every day, and ways to develop them. Any questions can be sent to my PM box and I will provide an answer promptly, but please make sure the question is specific and not just a "What skills are there?" because I wouldn't even try to type up the answer that would require >_>

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of skills and they may seem overwhelming but in reality learning them is not only smooth it's fun. When I wanted to redefine how skills were undertaken I meant it, you actually get to do things in the game such as mini-games and as variety of other things to learn your new skill. For example you can fish to learn fishing, using your mouse to swing the rod and the middle mouse button to control the like to reel in your fish. This allows us to ensure that, unlike other MMO-type games, our game lets you constantly have fun. By avoiding many day-long learning sessions of simply watching a timer get by and your focus drifting from the game to something else with the fact that by the time you realize the timer is over you could already have learned something else we have avoided ruining our game and provided a dynamic experience.

What this does is let Shinobi Life Online, also known as SLO, to fulfill its promise to the Naruto community and provide what it has said it would from the start. SLO will provide the community with the ability to truly live life in the Naruto world. We will redefine MMO's and act as a beacon of light for the anime community around the world, through not only our supreme graphics but our ingenious features as well. SLO will deliver to the community what they have been long awaiting, what they have been awaiting for to long, delivered to them will be the life of a Shinobi, delivered to them will be Naruto digitized, delivered to them will be a haven where they can get away and play in the world they best identify with, the world that is their paradise.

You guys really know how to let me enjoy my polls, soon polls for my other suggestions will be up but I want to improve upon this as much as I can first. That being said, thank you Isis and @Leebz for your opinions, and @Isis I'm going to take that as a yes.

I voted yes. It makes sense. When you don't practice something, you lose skill in it. Though I don't believe that the skill experience should start to decay until a skill isn't used AT ALL in say, two weeks. If you use it once before the 14 day period is up, I think that the time before decay should be reset again.
