Yea, let me tell you that removing "dick wad" is a poor judgement call. The topic was solved - even asked to be locked, so why would I continue to leave the bashing and shitposting? I could've been nicer about it, but at the time it didn't seem to come off "dick" to me. I removed 5 worded posts that had no relevance to the (already concluded) topic at hand. Rather than giving their opinion on the matter, the posts I removed were users being dicks to each other.

Shinobi Life Online Discussion / Re: Generations of SLO

Obviously 2nd is the best. I'm sure that's been posted in this thread already.

Piano. I don't have a single "favorite" piece because the piano is fucking amazing, however I watched a girl a few years younger than me play this in person during my first recital and I immediately fell in love with the piece.

Watching her play also pushed me to take playing the piano much, much more serious. It was a great experience.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Re: Jutsu Creation Topic

Don't be discouraged from creating a new jutsu because you think that we're not reading or that we don't care about this thread. You've all given us an immense pile of great ideas and concepts that will most definitely find ways into SLO.

Great job everyone and keep it up.

Shinobi Life Online Questions / Re: Teleportation Jutsu
« on: May 12, 2016, 02:38:44 »
Not sure if you've ever seen a Super Smash Bros Melee tourney, but I'd say it's a good example of SLO in terms of PvP. Now, I don't mean in every aspect, clearly, but in terms of pace and skill required I think it'll be a good comparison. The pace of the matches are so insanely fast. They require such a large amount of time and practice to be that skilled as well as a high rate of game sense and reflexes. The speed in which players perform and react to each other is above any other game (StarCraft is up there in terms of action speed, but Melee is something else entirely).

Seriously, go watch a match. There are videos that show the buttons and actions made by players. It's crazy.

Hmm, you bring up a solid situation. In an effort to keep it relatively fair, I would expect to see that the 3rd scenario is the most plausible and will likely be the outcome. This hasn't been brought up before, however, so I'll let you know when I get more accurate information.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Re: Animals
« on: May 06, 2016, 14:46:17 »
Not entirely sure of the range of animals there will be outside of your basic ones; deer, dogs, cats, cattle, horses, etc.

You will be able to purchase horses; training them might be another story - possible branch/trait with a profession, who knows.

As far as battle companions go, the idea of it hasn't been touched upon, but it's quite a viable element. Gives me the thought of pets in WoW.

Shinobi Life Online News & Announcements / Re: SLO Stream!
« on: April 30, 2016, 18:44:01 »
Back when the idea of streaming first came into the picture, we had originally decided that - for the community - we'd stream every Saturday. Hindsight 20-20, we did not foresee the issues this "strict" due date created. Firstly, we had the very obvious issue: time. The team members are spread out all over and the clashing time zones made it difficult to set-up a decent stream with various participants. Additionally, there are times where we just haven't created enough TRULY TANGIBLE (things that we can elaborate on like models and concept art; I'm sure majority of you don't want to see walls of code) content, and as a result, we just wouldn't hold streams. As other issues came into light, we decided to change up the date time and, sadly, eventually just ceased streaming. However! Now that we've accumulated more team members we've amped up on production and as a result, we've decided to bring it all back. Of course, we won't be making the same mistakes, and as a result the dates of the streams will be pretty spaced. But, that's just how it goes when you have a team full of people on the opposite sides of Earth.

Sorry for the wall of text.

Shinobi Life Online Questions / Re: Teleportation Jutsu
« on: April 11, 2016, 22:09:01 »
There might be some form of teleportation jutsu. If it is decided to join the game, it'll be no where, and I mean no where, near the level of the second/fourth hokage. I see it being more like flash or Ezreal's e in league of legends. However, it will more than likely not exist.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Re: village completely destroyed
« on: April 06, 2016, 20:40:27 »
We discussed rogue ninja and their affiliations having the ability to overthrow a Kage and capture a village. This ability is extended to everyone, and will be a potential outcome if there ever is a war between nations.

Thank you all who participated. Tune into the stream tomorrow to revel in the answers!

Shinobi Life Online Questions / Re: New code for signature?
« on: March 26, 2016, 16:49:03 »
SLO is a secure site, hence the green https.

Tinypic, however, is not a secure site and does not have the green https. This is the reason why you get this result when trying to use an image from Tinypic on SLO, the image isn't visible.

Gyazo is secured, hence why the pictures are coming through and are visible.

Now, I've literally just been informed on the situation and not everything that I've posted may be 100% true. I'm still learning the situation.

With that said, upload the image you wish to use as your sig to a secured image hosting website and retry.
