I don't see how one can cast a fire breath jutsu, or wind bullet jutsu on himself... Even something like chidori is not really natural, but we can assume that this last one can be used against him.
The idea is that its an illusion... there not hitting you but themselfs wind bult gets shot in the foot fire breath backfires. chidori discharges on themselfs. by just changing the damage to them i accomplishes the illusion with out the need for any other effects.
I like the idea, It could maybe be more like you create the illusion that disrupts a players memory and can make them fail their jutsu and do side effect damage from it

Nova explained it for me. First, understand the meaning of the word "forbidden".
Forbidden jutsus could be "banned" jutsus that are broke in the game and are being worked on. Only used by those testing it or like 1 person etc server?

lollernoob yes i agree animals should be strong especially a bear but with substitution and a kuni even a genin could kill it.
this kind of mission would not be fun for long.. and PVP gets boring after a while to... RP  is one thing but you shouldn't need to sacrifice time being a shop owner or something without getting something out of it besides a steady income. also MMOS are fun because you team up with friends and take on things or players you could not beat yourself. that's why raids and instances in other mmos are so popular. that and the gear you get but that's irrelevant. i think not taking advantage of the combinations of strategies possible from the naruto universe to take down more powerful people or beasts is a mistake.. it would offer a way to team up with other players with different skills and see who's skills works best with your skill set. all of this in a relatively safe environment(not in a kill zone though maybe high levels could be) but engaging and fun.
Would indeed be nice to see teamwork, especially against those spirit beasts for events I've heard about

this is truely amazing indeed, I personally liked the way the first one moved with it not moving afterwards and instead immediately descend from the ground. But from what it looks like on the doorway on the "colosseum?" its really big, like it could be a really high level ability. Is it to make a village for yourself as a hokage?

there should also be wood style called Black forest Jutsu, Lava Style summons called Mystic Volcano, and Snow style called Deep Powder
but i'm tired now. the idea is to give each village one of these summoning threads these are not chakra nature related it is a summoning. there designed to slow an opponent.
It sounds like the ability a crazy swamp king would use, maybe sacrifice animals to make it a forbidden jutsu?

So it would kind of add another chakra/stamina bar or preferably one a little longer(higher numbers;) and would allow bigger or more controlled versions of what jutsus you already have, like a puppet master could control people or other players for a wile instead of puppets for example?

I guess it would have to be easier to do it seems. Was thinking this game would end up being years in the making, how did you get the engine anyways?

Sage mode won't be in the game so while your sage mode stats are cool the won't be included (unless Vreg decides the he wants to implement something along those lines)

Sage Mode will be in the game.

Sage mode is planned, it'll be similar to the sage mode that you see in Naruto except it won't be related to animals. It'll just be the act of mastering natural chakra.
But then, what is chakra? is it not which lives in all that breathes?

Ah I understand, pardon the misunderstanding then.
Can only say I myself would really just want a naruto rpg that is not naruto online or whatever that stuff is called.
But its not up to me, you will still make a hell of a game.

Oh and just wanted to add a interesting fact. Naruto is based of a japanese religion called Shinto. You can find various names of the gods and their weapons such as Amaterasu, Sword of Totsuka and Susanoo. Might give some original ideas.

Making your own jutsus would be great. You could change colour on fire etc but needing to pick the two releases that is pre decided. But it wouldnt have to be from a clan in my opinion but more a special gift. And if more people went for the same jutsu you could make a clan with those people.

I think you guys should still make the tailed beasts and stuff, Is the copy right really damaging when you get paid through donations? nvm.
If you make a good enough game would not the people with the rights hier you to make the game?
