Shinobi Life Online Questions / Movement System?
« on: November 07, 2016, 02:38:57 »
After looking through the FAQ I failed to notice anything fleshing out the movement system, so I have a few questions:

‣Will we be able to jump across tree branches, like in the manga?

‣Will it be more complicated than wasd?

If I think of other questions I'll make sure to post them

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Re: Eating After Training System
« on: September 11, 2016, 22:56:03 »
skills = knowlage.
Stamina = physical abuility

Food fuels stamina- that lets us learn skills

However some food works better then others
Candy vs stake ramen for example.

One burns fast one lasts longer.

This is how food should work In slo

However experience is gained through sleep
Where we integrate are knowledge to the knowledge we already posesses.

Again how slo should work.

Yeah this is what I mean! We'll just have to see if they address food on the new FAQ.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Eating After Training System
« on: September 10, 2016, 19:09:19 »
After you train you have to eat to gain the skills/stats that you trained for, similar to real life. Certain restaurants and foods would benefit certain aspects of your strengths more than others. This would create for cool social situations at shops where everybody that trained can talk and such. This would also give purpose to having a ramen cart for example. Let's say you trained throwing kunai and you have to go eat to gain the boost. So once you're finished you now can throw kunai faster.

General Discussion / Re: What if?

Everyone criticizing the fact that Naruto would join the Akatsuki, thus sacrificing himself, is dumb. Sasuke didn't care what happened to him after he killed Itachi, same with Naruto, in this case.

P.S. Fantastic thread you've created.
I've one question, what Naruto have you been watching?
It's not allowed to spoil here in the forums, and when I think about it, this whole thread is a major spoiler, since it's telling you about Sasuke's actions in the whole anime.

Spoiler: show
Who told you Sasuke didn't care after he killed Itachi? He actually became more cool when he killed Itachi, and did what he felt like doing, until Tobi told him why Itachi did what he did, and he then changed his target to Konoha.

Spoiler above ^^^^^^^^

I've been reading the manga. I had no idea that what I wrote was a spoiler, uh oh. Should I take it down?

Lol, no I'm not crazy SJW. You can call women a post whore if you deem it appropriate XD
Just trying to inject some humor. Especially when both of you are apparently arguing over the same thing. As I suggested before, I like your idea. However, I would suggest that everyone be directly related to a clan non-player character, rather than being parent/child with other players. Because, yeah, it'd be weird if two 18 year old are somehow father/son.

You make a very good point. If a bloodline lineage thing were to happen I would again suggest that it happen in a expantion some time after the initial slo release. In that release we could realease the family system where ageing could be a thing. So your children would be born created as children and would grow to adult hood.

The idea is to build a clan of charicters and if your clan is only NPC's it will not be very immersive. However if the clan Is made up of 2 players the. There children grow to jonin's and recruet 2 more players
There children grow and recruet 2 more players you have a clan of 6 different players now. All with  alternate characters they can grow and with potential Kekkei genki that your clan should be known for for surviveing 3 players to Jonin level.

However after the initial release has bin out for a while there will be a large pool of Jonin Shinobi. There almost to the max and are wondering what to do from there....
Bam out comes
SLO-Bloodlines
New Justu
Ageing system
Clan system
And possibly
New Kekkei genki
And a slim chance of
Kekkei mora

Now all those Jonin are like woot!!

Slo bloodlines could hold events by generations

Chunine exams for 2nd and 3rd generations
Protect the children event with chakra beasts for 1st generation charicters. And so on.
So many ideas for a slo expansion.
A Jutsu creation editor alowing you to put together different Change in form and nature combinations and to inhance change in forms to rasangon levels.

I see a world off  possibilities  past the initial release of the game.

All of what you said above is awesome! You should make a suggestion if you haven't already.

11
I really don't have the time to argue with you.

A suggestion that is not realistic or applicable is useless. What has already planned was thought over and over again, changed and modified until it took the actual form. Your suggestion, compared to what is already planned, is more complicated, has holes and does not have any major important impact except that people may think one more time before applying to a clan.

If you get butt-hurt after a criticism, I suggest to mention this in your very first post of your thread, so we won't criticize anymore and say only: "What a great idea."

My main problem with your claims is that most of them were already addressed. Now if you had taken the time to actually read the thread and pay attention I would have respected/trusted any claims you made. For example the first point you ever brought up was a fantastic one and I provided a solution to it, but your arrogance took control. And you clearly have time to respond, you've done it two days in a row. @Konohuro

P.s. Any suggestion that is created in 30 minutes isn't going to be deeply thought out and I can hardly see how it is complicated. All you have to do is apply to marry or be born into a clan, that's it.

12
To what degree has the Genjutsu skill tree been planned? Down to each individual jutsu or just a broad idea?

P.s. Why won't any Genjutsu deal damage?

Shinobi Life Online Discussion / Re: Mac Version - SLO
« on: September 06, 2016, 02:30:54 »
Much User want to Play with Mac and i know that Unity is mac compatible you dont Need to Change anything to make a Mac Version. So make a Mac download why not?
There's more to it than that, our engine is indeed Mac compatible but SLO is not. I'm planning to get a Mac version out soon though, I need a certain set of tools that cost $60 for it to happen.

If your REALLY want a Mac version right away, I suggest you donate $60 with the purpose of "Mac version" so I can get the tools necessary to make SLO Mac compatible right away.
cant make any promises since i just got my first job and paycheck though my mom;s holding tht money....but yh ill try to donate tht 60 in the future :P
@mamoudou52404 I'll release that Mac version in the same week :)

I'll attempt to form a fund for this goal.

•  Optional - Writing lore/backstory for SLO (locations, characters, mythos etc) – however this is NOT a requirement for this role if you would prefer not to

Would it be possible to apply for the role of Lore Writer?

I would have applied as the Social Media Manager but I have 0 experience on Photoshop and no desire to learn.

Actually curious about this as well.

I to am curious about this.

As am I.

As am me.

*Sigh*
In this case, you should know that:
1. You get KG only through luck or heritage.
2. You don't "born into a clan and get the powers right away". If someone from the clan you are part of, has a special power he may decide to share it with you (also, last time I remember, there was decided a limited number of persons to whom one can share his powers.)
3. Children and grow up/aging system won't be a feature, everybody will be around 20, so a family will most certainly look weird in SLO. Fortunately, RP will be a thing, people will be able to roleplay it as well as those "clan rituals" that you have talked about. But I don't think they will take the form of implemented systems.
4. You don't get accepted into the clan first, and then see if you fit with it's characteristics. It's the other way around, if you meet the requirements and the traits of the specific clan, you can move on to the next step in getting yourself accepted into the clan.

PS: What do you understand through "experienced members".

*Sigh*
1) Like I said this is a suggestion! I'm aware that they already have a plan, but I suggested another. Is it that hard to understand?

2) This is also a suggestion. The game is currently in pre-alpha for god's sake.

3) Already addressed this by suggesting that you assume your childhood has already happened. There's no way you'll actually be born in the game. You just show up as a new player invited into the clan and it just says who your parents are.

4) Seeing if your characteristics fit and if you are a rightful candidate are a part of the same step, getting accepted. You first contact the person who you would like to be born to (if you are a new player and took the time to apply before making a character) or you wish to marry. Then you get accepted by the potential parent/spouse, and finally a higher up reviews your application and determines if you are accepted. I'm not quite sure why this is important either as it is fine grain.

5) 'PS: What do you understand through "experienced members".' I don't understand what you mean?
