People don't sign in because they can see the topics without it. It's an SMF forum Vreg could just set boards invisible for guests, so they would log in.  8)

About those always active guests, they are mostly spam bots. Luckily with our registration questions they are not able to register anymore (they used to be back in the first days of the forum).
