Server Offline

I can't seem to join the game, I'm logging in and I get a error message. Anyone know why, I'm new to this game and have never played it before and I was very excited to start playing it.

Well it's not really a "game" right now it's just a pre alpha version (very basic and does not represent the real version of the game) however, the sever is currently offline due to some technical errors and also preparing for an upcoming update maybe.

no its not preparing for an upcoming update. its just a crash like all the other one million times the server went offline.
