Dead organizations
« on: October 26, 2016, 22:06:22 »
I am a part of an organization called Heiwa, whose members (all of us) have become pretty inactive. The creator of the group has not been on the forum for about three months. Only today I found out that someone new wanted to join like a month ago, but nobody was here to accept or decline him. I have no power over the issue, since I can not edit the post. I also really liked the group, and creating my own almost exact organization would be pretty stupid and unproductive. Without the creator, nothing can be done to accept new members or do anything with the org. What does one do in a situation like this? Also sorry @mamoudou52404 for not replying.

Ahh, sorry to hear that man. There are a bunch of ways to deal with such an issue though...

1. Announce that you step out of the org and join another active one. (most common way2go)
2. Leave the org and make your own (2nd most common way (though you already stated that you don't want to do this)).
3. Copy pasta the org info in a new thread, but replace the original leader's name with your own, stating that you couped the org because the leader was inactive.

Though, tbf, if you're choosing the latter you may want to ask one of the moderators kindly if they'd remove the original organization's thread and explaining the situation thoroughly.

~Hope it helped.

Ngl Dragon, I don't like the last option either.

It should be noted that this is the most desperate attempt to keep an organisation alive @DrSuhi . If you're almost absolutely sure that the leader won't come back, but desperately want to keep the organisation alive, then so be it. It would be more praised when you would start an organisation of your own.

As long as you make clear you want to breathe new life into this organisation and not claim it as your own creation, you should be fine image wise.
