Combat
« on: July 18, 2014, 16:42:46 »
Hi guys. Before my question I just wanted to say that I'm extremely hyped for this game and to thank the developers for trying to make this project work.  :D
My question is very much general but here it is:

-> How will the combat system work? Will I have be offered a challenge and accept it before I engage in battle or will the entire world be like a PvP instance like in World of Warcraft? Also, how hard will it be to actually land a ninjutsu or taijutsu hit on your opponent?

I have searched through the forums about this and I did not find a similar question but in any case I'm sorry if this question has been asked before. :)

No, combat will not be something optional. Once attacked you have to defend yourself.

Also there's no way to tell at this point how hard will it be to land a ninjutsu/taijutsu on someone.
Warning: Beware of the BBB!

Will you be able to flee? Or is it unlikely that you would be able to outrun anyone without taking substantial damage? (I realize many of these things are probably not quite worked out yet, and are almost the entire reason why the death match version is being released first)

I think we should revisit this topic now that the 1.0.9.4 version is out and playable... Combat still seems a little problematic all you can really do is run around in a  circle making your hand signs and and when you get close  enough to your opponent hope that it hits. Dose anyone else fell like some times there just foreign off jutsu at some one but only hitting air ??? Or do I just suck :-\

Version 1.0.9.4 is not the full game. It's not even the Deathmatch Version. Combat will get better as more features get added, for example taijutsu.

Right now, if you want to hit chidori you have to be 100% accurate. Skill is needed to consistently hit chidori which you'll get from playing the game a lot.

Also, please in the future don't bring back old posts such as this one. Make a new thread or ask on the shoutbox for help.
