Not a long time ago, we all acknowledged that Kage Bunshin was indeed coming to SLO.

Now, an important attribute of Kage Bunshin. We all know that Naruto learned and mastered his jutsu in short time periods because his Kage Bunshin let him gain more "experience" and he mastered in days what should've taken years.

I think this should take part of Kage Bunshin in SLO.
A normal shinobi may summon up to 3 Kage Bunshin. So, after you summoned the Kage Bunshin you can order them to mimic what you do and then train the specific skill that you want to "boost" with these Kage Bunshin. After training or exhausting all your chakra, the Kage Bunshin vanish and an extra experience in gained for whatever you were doing.

I find this suitable for mastering element chakra techniques or very advance jutsu that require alot of time.

History:

Most of our past is mystery. Kure-sama, our founder, unified a group of nomads that traveled from island to island with ancient canoes on the entire world. Kure-sama thought that being nomad was easy using the Mokuton (Wood Release) that runs through his veins, Kure-sama created canoes, temporal shelters and many useful wooden furniture, but when the world started to separate into villages Kure-sama realized that being nomad turned into an obsolete way to live, the lack of food and training became notorious among our ancestors.

Kure-sama sought help from a group of nomad wise elders, who then became the 3-Council in our Ranking system, Kure-sama and the elders understood that affiliating and establishing on a village would solve their problems. Kure-sama decided to settle on a village lying on the coast, which then was named Morigakure. Establishing on a village created other trustworthy conflicts on the village, though years and generations solved [some of] them.

Many elders from our clan say that Kure-sama and other nomads learned Suiton (Water Release) techniques since they simplified their traveling through the seas, elders say that this explains the sea waves on the Yamato Clan symbol. However, some others think that these “sea waves” are instead the texture on the trees that Kure-sama used to build their home.  Other rumors say that our ancestors introduced Doton (Earth Release) techniques to Morigakure. No one really knows a lot of our past, much of it has been and will be a mystery, perhaps that’s what Kure-sama wanted.

  • Everyone in Yamato Clan has the primary chakra nature of either Suiton or Doton.
  • Academy students and Genin must wear blue dresses or brown suits both with our symbol.
  • Every new born is tattooed with our symbol on their chest.

Hey amigos! :P

Since the game is slowly coming, I don't to waste time thinking too far ahead, so, why not help with what's currently being develop?
I know User Interface is currently under development and usually not a problem since it might be a simple idea, now, I know so far SLO's current UI is not "very" complex, but it's obviously one of the first and most important elements of any game. But it's also true that UI has a lot to do with the whole beauty of the games. That's why I dug up a little bit on internet and found people claiming and comparing UI of different MMO's.

I will only discuss the customization and layout of the UI, not any other display (char inventory, jutsu tree,etc).

In General, most gamers want a clean, stylized and clear User Interface, they don't like to see their display full of unnecessary crap, even if it is customizable or removable, the default is very important.

Let's go from the top to the bottom. FIRST!


Character Overview Health and Chakra , along the face char.


The character overview of the UI usually contains the very basic information of the character and the char pic. Since players have many different likes, many games have the char overview on the bottom center or the top left. As the two images below.


In this part, we will most likely have 2 bars, plus the stamina which I believe to be different. The char pic at the left on a circle frame, with a general level or ranking(if to be an addition) at the left bottom of the circle frame.
 
The two types of info given in the bars could in numbers, percentages or both:
  • [Current amount]/[Total amount]

  • [Current health]



Sometimes stacked boosts, buffs, poison/bleeding icon,etc are shown below the bars such the ones in the pic below...


MiniMap, is a must


The famous minimap mostly displayed on the right top or right bottom, with zoom in and out,etc. The player is the point or arrow on the center of the minimap. The minimap may be detailed or made out of geometric figures. Buildings and other players may be displayed as points, geometric figures, icons or with names. The default size of the minimap may be medium-small but still customizable.


Tera's HUD is pretty interesting, it has a navigation map on the top right that maps the nearby players and enemies, and shows north to somehow locate yourself to not get lost.


BUT! the UI also includes a transparent map that only shows roads, and the name of the nearby buildings with names or icons. the second map can be hide so it doesn't bother but although the second map is bigger it doesn't really bother the player's view since it's transparent.




ChatBox


ChatBox!! well, what is a MMO without social interactions? A transparent or low-opacity medium-sized box on the lower-left side of the UI with show/hide capabilities and obviously scroll up and down. Marvelous ability to write while running, which I know it's already ingame.
The ability to talk only  your organization, private or public.



Lower-Center Menu UI

I don't have the image of the SLO's lastest UI design, and I don't remember very well how it was organized, but I do know! that the middle menu, which most of the time contains options, inventory, skills, guild is very much positioned on the top center or bottom center. The buttons shown may be optional shortcuts or preset in the UI, in other words, these may or may not be removable, replaceable or movable. 



Hotkeys!!


I know, I know, jutsu are created with hand seals, why do I need hotkeys then? well, remember there is more than hand seals. From bandages/herbs to cure yourself to taijutsu attacks and combos/special attakcs. Also there may be some jutsu that do not require hand seals. Well, I believe this can be solved with HOTKEYS! The lastest design of the UI didn't include hotkeys, so this is totally a suggestion!!. What's also included along is the famous different sets of hotkeys for different situations.


Mission Tracker


This is something many MMO's have to check the current tasks/missions without having to open the complete quest window. This portion placed in the right-middle of the UI,which may show the current quest given by the kage or the org leader.

Some people may not be agree with me but I think if the game is going to be a challenge and realistic; player location should not be showed on the world/village map. You would have to guide yourself by the characteristics of the environment in the outside world, maybe you could have a compass on the UI to help you which i think is also a good idea if such thing is in the game.

But if you're a GM, and you're looking for a player for some reason you can write a command, and your map is going to show the location of the player (or something different). Since i think is more complex to make this only for GMs maybe you could find another way to find those players, you could also implement coordinates into the game, and such command will show you the coordinates of the player.

I think our profile in the forum, and also our summary profile at the left of our posts, should include some kind of tag, symbol or the complete name of the organization/clan that we're in. of course this might be too soon to be included in the website. But perhaps after deathmatch, when most of us will decide whether stay along the development of this game,  this feature could be added to the forum maybe  even a tag ingame with the name of the org/clan.
Since there is no actual table,chart or something like that with the name of the orgs/clans i think the moderators could manage these tags, but at some time we'll be too many that there will be needed a Chart and variables changing these tags in our profiles.

Or i don't know, i think it's a pretty good idea to quickly identify the people on the forum.

If i'm not mistaken, council will be implemented in the villages' ruling system, correct me if i'm wrong.

If i'm right I think the Village Council should include the leader of the most powerful clans affiliated to the village,  since they're affiliated, they'll matter what is good for the village. Perhaps voting for council every certain amount of time, which would be the leaders of different clans, since every leader shows obviously leadership*, bravery and sense of choices. Because the game will not start off with lots of active clans, it might as well, this may not be a good idea. I don't know if every village will have different ruling systems, so this may not apply for every village. I see this as a good idea also because it might be a way to gain loyalty between different clans and create new allies.

Maybe Most Powerful clans also might not be a good idea, for the reason that the clans will always be the same at the top of the mountain, and this could lead to cracks along the path; traitors and corruption. But that all would depend on the ones that vote.

Hey it just came to my mind the game's map, what should it be best? i know this might have already decided, but if not here it is....

I haven't really seen any game with an amazingly big map, the games I've played are divided with portals or doors or something like that.... what do you think? maybe you step on a scroll at the edge of a map and you keep going on the other side of the piece of the world? i didn't even understand myself.

so I'm just throwing this up to discuss a bit about the maps.

The forest or outside of the towns, the division of lands between villages, we all know the villages are named based on their landscape, environment and so on. The forests, the sand, lava, etc,  have to end at some time.
Which would be the land that each village owns, should it be a wall between them or just like in Naruto Universe that there is nothing between villages.

Using a metric base system (whatever you want)  what should it be fair to be the amount of land that each village owns.
Mini villages, small town around the SLO world?, maybe a small ramen shop for travelers, and their owner is the kage of the closest village?

Also the trees,rock and static things in the world, will it be a good idea to have big trees around the maps?  I mean really big trees, there would be normal trees big enough to be running on them,  but also some big ass trees, such as the ones you can see in the forest of death in Naruto.
(I'm just throwing questions, what do you think!? don't just look at this without posting below!)

Hey I was just wondering what is the difference between the clan and the organization in the game, since in Naruto I can see differences, like for example take Itachi, he was from the clan Uchiha, but he's organization was akatsuki , but in the game clan and organization seem very alike.
Is the clan much more like just a watermark in the player? or will it be like a guild just as the organization?
BTW.... What would happen if like: Uchiha clan is affiliated to the Hidden Leaf, rayzote leaves the village as a rogue and get in akatsuki organization. what reaction would happen to rayzote's watermark(clan connection) to the clan or something different if the clan is as a guild.

I don't know if i'm explaning myself, if not, let me know. Thankyou.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Microphone-voice support.

I've seen the way in which the game has been in development, so I think that microphone-voice support would be very useful to be able to communicate more efficiently and faster. Since Shinobi Life Online is based on "reality", faster communication is a very important part of the game.... organizations, clans, villages..... all that has a common denominator which is Alliance. Saying so, as before, faster communication is very important. :D

You know.......I was wondering about the 2nd windows 8.1 update that's coming next month. blablabla

Then I remembered the next version of windows that's coming next year which I think is fabulous. Microsoft's ambitious is promising a lot into "Windows 9 or Threshold". It is expected that  Windows 9 is to launch in PCs, laptops, tablets and phones that you can buy in April 2015. Something new I read about, it's that the icons in the task bar are interactive, described as 'mini Live Tiles'. There are many other rumored features, but not official at all.

CORTANA! haha the only thing I'm waiting for, is the good-looking most intelligent artificial life in Microsoft's sci-fic world. Which is coming within Windows Threshold. The famous windows' personal assistant which will compete with the Apple's famous "Siri". What yo think....
I would personally like to see Cortana not a blue circle, but i'm sure that's going to change..... i guess... :P



I found some leaked screenshots, I cannot state anything since they're not official, they could be fake.... what you think.... Do you miss the old start menu?

 Windows Threshold is promising a lot after the mess that  his buddy Windows 8 caused........Just like Windows 7 and its failed buddy Vista, Microsoft decides to move forward and away from W8 as many say it became a kind of Windows Vista 2.0.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / deeper diplomatic system :)

As NaruFans know, there are not just kages making decisions in ninja world, there are also counselors, like war counselors, defence counselors, and village counselors. Which help making decisions about the village and outside-village problems. The counselors should be replaced every month just like the kages, maybe not the same date. The counselors should not be the ones that make the final decision, but they should discuss with the kage before doing so.

I'm also thinking about "The Root". As many people know, there is something called The Root, they're Anbus, but they have a different training style, and very stricted. But I'm not going to say much about it, since the root sounds very stick to Naruto since the root is only in Konoha.
