Far away from the governed lands of the hidden villages there lay one stray village, untouched by the common populous, its name: The Hidden Ash. In this "quaint" village were simple but hard-working people who would help each other whenever possible. In this place lived a young boy named "Takehiko", he was well-known across the village for all of the wrong reasons, that of course being that he was an illegitimate "prince" of the village. His father, the current ruling Kage had many affairs throughout his reign and this was the result of just one of them.
Takehiko would be bullied at school without fail everyday, he would come home later that night and cry his eyes out for hours, but not for himself, for his bullies as he never knew what would happen to them afterwards. A boy named Edward, the same age as Takehiko decided to pick on him today, Edward came from a very poor family and struggled to feed his other three sisters from day-to-day. He screamed at Takehiko saying how "He didn't deserve to be prince" and how "He never once helped another person". Takehiko broke into tears and as usual, went home. That night Takehiko awoke from his tear-stained slumber earlier than usual and heard his father shouting downstairs. He slowly crept down the stair case and peeked through a keyhole into the room where his father was. Takehiko could've never predicted what he would've seen next. In the room was Edward's family, all being beaten by the royal guards. Takehiko's father personally set out to punish them in the worst ways possible. Edward had his hand chopped of with a cleaver. His father was whipped to his bare back until he passed out. And all the women of the family, including the mother and the three sisters, were all sent into slavery, never to be seen again. These slaves would be used for anything a wealthy buyer desired, from sexual pleasures to human bodyguards, life as a slave was worse than death.
This would go on until Takehiko was 12, where his class of 30 completely disappeared to 0, at which point Takehiko was home-schooled. Here he was taught ninja arts and found his specialisation in shadow jutsu, he trained with nothing but ninja arts all the way up to the age of 18. As family tradition had it, at the age of 18, the prince of the kingdom was to be bestowed the family weapon "Tekigō", this famed weapon was known in every corner of the village, it's strange power to adapt to the user perfectly kept the village under a sustained ruling. The Kage smiled with pride as he handed over the weapon, he loved his son dearly, more than anything in this world and would do anything for him.
Takehiko trained all night, but the weapon would not answer his pleas, he wondered what it took to control this weapon before heading to bed and thought of other techniques he could use. As he was about to shut his eyes a thunderous otherworldly roar of kinds erupted from the weapon and he eyes were pried open. The weapon was slowly transforming into some kind of thick, black, shadow-like mist. It flew toward Takehiko and straight into his mouth until it was gone and he had passed out.
He awoke to pitch black, there was nothing. No sound, no light, no smell, just a void of pure black. A ungodly voice caught his attention and seemed to pull Takehiko close with only noise. Before he knew it, the "thing" was whispering in his ear. It gently said "Do you desire power? Do you desire equality? Do you desire everything you could ever want?". He turned quickly but behind him was nothing. As he turned forward again he was jolted by a behemoth in front of him. It looked at least 60m tall, A giant skeletal being looked down upon the bug that was Takehiko like nothing. Takehiko was stunned, frozen solid instantly by pure power resonating from the "thing" that it was. Takehiko began to speak. "Wh..Who are you? Wh..Whe...Where the hell are we? WHERE THE HELL AM -".
"Hush mortal, your questions shall be answered" spoke the being. As he spoke Takehiko felt reassured and calm, he didn't know why, but he was, and accepted it.
"What.. are you?" asked Takehiko. The thing answered. "My name is Ketsuron and I am here to save you. I have but one question for you, what do you desire most?" quizzed Ketsuron.
Takehiko thought long and hard, thinking of his old friends from his school and his father's kingdom, just one boy resonated throughout Takehiko's head, Edward. And so, Takehiko answered with "The power to rule."
Ketsuron laughed cynically. "So it shall be!" The being yet again faded to a shadowy substance and back into Takehiko until he passed out yet again. When Takehiko awoke he bolted up right instantly, he looked around him for Tekigō, but it was no where to be found. As he turned to his mirror something caught his eye, that being, his eyes. They were a dark purple. He knew he had brown eyes, so why were they purple? "Confused, boy?". Takehiko looked around him again, but there was nothing. "I am nowhere to be found, I, Ketsuron, is now part of you." Takehiko's eyes widened in shock as he looked to his right arm. It was being enveloped by the same thick mist of Tekigō earlier. It wrapped around his entire hand and then disappeared. In his hand was a Kusarigama, a scythe on a chain, the blade was a purple tint, with everything else being completely black. Something in Takehiko snapped, he had changed whether he liked it or not. "With this power, you can rule." whispered Ketsuron. Takehiko smiled.
Reports from other villages tell of a village named the Hidden Ash where in one night the entire wealthy population including the Kage were slain, leaving only the poor. People in the village tell of a man who was enveloped in death itself, who saved them from the tyrannical reign of the now dead Kage. Some say he is a god, some say he is a murderer, but what few know is that the "prince" known as Takehiko is no longer.
