Name: Umiko Raiu (Umiko literally translates to “Child of the Sea".) Description of the character's personality: Umiko is a well-intentioned kind girl with a strong sense of right and wrong. She's not necessarily shy, but she's not outgoing either. In terms of socializing, her goal is to "stay out of the way" and not cause any trouble. Because of this, she can easily hide her emotions. Umiko can easily become obsessive of people or items. She often holds a picture of her family portrait from years ago when her father was alive.
Description of the character's history: Umiko is an only child born and raised in Okagakure (Village Hidden in the Hills) but born into the Raiu clan. Her father was born and raised in Kaminagakure (Village Hidden in the Thunder). Ever since Umiko was a young girl she was raised in a very healthy family, Her father, a successful Jounin for Okagakure and her mother, a housewife. Everything was perfect for Umiko, But when she was 7 years old her father passed away on a mission. This left her and her mother alone to try to fix their household. Her mother took her out of the academy because she was worried she’d end up where her father was. Her mother also had to get several jobs around the village to try to provide for Umiko. Jobs were tight, bills were raising and money was shrinking. One day while Umiko was sitting in her living room while her mother was out buying groceries, she saw a couple of ninja hopping around outside their window. She witnessed them jumping on buildings and using clones of all sorts. This sparked an interest for Umiko. But she knew her mother would kill her if she brought up the idea of being a ninja due to her father's passing. Umiko finally sparked the idea to her mother and her mother was completely against it. Until Umiko was 9 years old she finally talked her mother into letting her go back to the academy again. Umiko was very decent in school. She had plenty of friends, made decent grades, and had a pretty fun childhood. It was until they had to do training. Umiko was the only girl in her class who was considered weak due to her being pulled out of school. Umiko could only do Shadow Clones and toss a few shurikens. Other than that, Umiko had no real jutsu. This caused Umiko to start paying more attention in class. Umiko stopped talking to all of her friends and even her own mother at one point.One night while her mother was sleeping, she’d sneak off to the training field and train. She was found by her Sensei and would refuse to leave until she mastered atleast Ninjutsu. This helped Umiko master Genjutsu Illusion/Hypnosis Jutsus and Ninjutsu, she also hopes to master Medical Ninjutsu and Taijutsu.
