General Discussion / Re: Who would you meet?
« on: August 29, 2016, 00:11:23 »
Interesting thread.
I'd like to assume that you're not very tall or strong @mamoudou52404 so I'd be more than happy to play you in a 1v1 streetball style game. I put my bets on myself because I doubt you'll beat a 6'2 165lbs Centre player who's been streetballing since the age of 5.

I'd like to meet up with @Mars  and @jcryer  since they're close to me. We can hang out for a day and maybe watch a lot of anime and laugh at other SLO members.

@Nova  because I want to have a LAN game of Smite, we can even go to Comicon and get some SMITE swag.

@Vreg just so I can humiliate you for being tiny and probably end up getting my ass served <3.
Well I'm not that tiny, 5'6 is actually a pretty average height but what you should be more concerned about is how your weight is awfully close to mine when there's 20 centimeters difference between us.

Shinobi Life Online Feedback / Re: Health and Chakra regen
« on: August 24, 2016, 22:42:44 »
Hey,
I've been sparring with a couple members from my clan for the past 2 days and I have to say it's pretty fun; and to an extent competitive.

You have included the following fundamental functions which I am really impressed by;
-Dodging in all directions.
-Backflip, a fancy way to dodge by throwing yourself backwards.
-Several offensive Jutsu, needless to say 'Firebreath' is op and needs to be toned down. It can melt users in like 3 seconds.
-Chakra regeneration.

One thing that troubles me is chakra during combat, more specifically 1v1.
I fail to have a proper duel when I constantly have to stop and wait for a couple seconds (sometimes a minute) for my chakra gauge to fill up so that I can resume battle. My suggestion is for us to have a larger chakra pool, enough to be able to cast several abilities and dodge + run around above 50KPH. OR lower the chakra consumption rate of abilities and sprint + remove it for dodging.

This way battles will not only be far more enjoyable but users would also be able to last in constant combat (abilities + sprint) for longer than 45 seconds.
We should be able to charge up our chakra. I hate when I'm fighting with someone and my chakra runs out and I have to wait a while to continue and I hate even more when someone kills my prey because i didn't had enough chakra to do so.
You will be able to focus your chakra for more powerful attacks, and when it comes to charging chakra there will be a resting mode at which your chakra regenerates faster at the cost of making you incapacitated for while that happens. Chakra regeneration in general will also get more tweaked and balanced in the future as well.

May I mention that whenever you post a video with SLO/Shinobi Life Online in the title, make sure to leave a link in the description to our website, it helps with Google ranking.

Shinobi Life Online Discussion / Re: Mac Version - SLO
« on: August 18, 2016, 22:14:07 »
Much User want to Play with Mac and i know that Unity is mac compatible you dont Need to Change anything to make a Mac Version. So make a Mac download why not?
There's more to it than that, our engine is indeed Mac compatible but SLO is not. I'm planning to get a Mac version out soon though, I need a certain set of tools that cost $60 for it to happen.

If your REALLY want a Mac version right away, I suggest you donate $60 with the purpose of "Mac version" so I can get the tools necessary to make SLO Mac compatible right away.
cant make any promises since i just got my first job and paycheck though my mom;s holding tht money....but yh ill try to donate tht 60 in the future :P
@mamoudou52404 I'll release that Mac version in the same week :)

I never knew you could apply for mod. Is there something I'm missing out?
Yeah, people that apply for mod are automatically not eligible for it, it's a personal rule I have.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Re: eatch dome and fireball jutsu
« on: August 15, 2016, 13:17:42 »
You can just bait someone that uses fire on you, if you see them using the fire through the ED, you can just trap them by aiming another ED near the edge of the ED where they're at.
The fire won't reach you then and you will be released sooner than them being able to prepare and kill them.

I did that to @SpeakingRain if I remember correctly.
Yeah didn't even think of the fact that you'd not only end up preventing the fire from hitting you, but you'd also trap the other person. Those are some valuable tactics right there and it'd be a shame to get rid of them tbh...

I believe in 4th chances guys and I think we need a community moderator who has hands on experience being a troll.

Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Re: eatch dome and fireball jutsu
« on: August 15, 2016, 13:07:18 »
i want fireball jutsu to not be able to pass through earth dome as most plays tend to abuse the fact it does and rack up easy kills and i find it kind of shame full as if you try to protect your self with earth dome someone can still kill you.

hope this get taken into consideration.
Well, that's actually a glitch that we decided to turn into a feature. We can get rid of it if the community wants that, I suggesting making a poll and having a vote over it.

Just so that you know though, by using layers of Earth Dome (an Earth Dome inside of an Earth Dome) you can prevent the fire from reaching you. But yeah as I said, it was originally a glitch and I'm definitely willing to get rid of it if that's what the community wants.
