Log horizon, darker than black (if you didn't saw it already) , Senyuu (is short but funny , it takes you like 2 hours and a half to see the two currents seasons) , angel beats , Ichiban ushiro no daimaou , deadman wonderland.

These are pretty good..:D

Deadman wonderland is not cool...I don't think it ends like it should have ended...it ended like it was missing big part of the story

The thing is, I've read all the plots and deadman wonderland is the only one that got my interest lol. So you tell me: is it worth watching or not?

It's not fair leaving DBZ out of that list.
Also Gurren Lagan was good but a little too overscaled, I mean throwing galaxies...

I somehow forgot DBZ.Yeah I really only liked the first half of gurren lagan.

Yeah Dragon Ball Z will always be one of my favorites.

I recommend Samurai Champloo, it's pretty awesome and the opening theme is by one of my favorite artists (Nujabes) and is basically a really cool series.

Fate Stay Night is one of the best anime series i have seen, though there is little to no humor in it but lots of action and tragedy.

Sword Art Online (If you haven't seen this, get outta that rock you're under), Attack On Titan (Pretty sure you know this), Danganronpa (A must watch if you like murder mysteries/survival animes), Mekaku City Actors (New one, give it a bit of time since you won't be able to catch up on everything from the beginning), Highschool Of The Dead (Any zombie survival fans out there?), Hentai Ouji To Warawanai Neko/Henneko (One of my personal favorites), The World Only God Knows (Who doesn't like comedy?..), Deadman Wonderland (READ THE MANGA, I know it's been recommended but the manga has characters that never appeared in the anime!), Mirai Nikki/Future Diary (This is just amazing) & Anohana (WARNING: This'll make you cry waterfalls).
Can't really seem to remember any other ace ones out there, but 2014 will definitely be a great year for us, anime lovin' freaks ;).

Mahouka KouKou No Rettousei (the irregdular at magic highschool) - just started at ep5 but pretty good so far

I feel sorry for whoever thinks Sword art online was a good anime especially with the Alfheim arc that was so crap I slept through it it took me 10 months to get over it and I still haven't watched the last episode of it.Its even more crapper than bleach and that says a lot.

What's so bad about bleach? I mean it has a repetitive story, but still it's one of the big four for a reason. Still better than One Piece (at least to me...)

I'm right there with you. I was a fan up until the ending of the first arc. Then I started watched the second arc and was so disappointed. I just guessed what was going to happen and skipped to the end. And surprise! I was right. Lame.

Well, i guess everyone has their own opinions.
For me, Sword Art Online was the best anime I've ever watched, and also.
If you didn't like it, why'd you watch till the second arc?

I didn't even watch it. I just browsed their wiki and the concept of the anime didn't seem very interesting to me so I said no.

I had to lol at that please pass some of what your smoking there.Bleach better than one piece lol even saying bleach and one piece under the same breath is a heinous crime. There is a reason why one piece is the most selling manga in HISTORY it sold around 350 million copies while bleach pales in contrast with only 80 million. You might be thinking well hold on this is an anime thread why would you compare manga's fact is that you can't separate them that's like separating a burger to the bread and meat yes you can eat the meat by it self but its the bread that makes it a burger(Shit example i know but i think you get what am yapping about) but yeah you are allowed your own opinion.

Last time i checked you didn't have to like something to watch it never knew that was a prerequisite. Also like i said i found the first arc interesting and then it went down hill really fast and took me 10 months to watch the second arc and i still haven't seen the last episode.I usually watched it while waiting for other weekly animes to come out.

I would recommend people to watch  Hunter x Hunter 2011,Cow boy bebop,Death note(If you still haven't seen it),Attack on titan,Full metal alchemist,Darker than black,Code Geass there are many others just can't remember at the moment .

Well you don't have to go all mad just for one statement. It might be wrong, it might be right. It's just a biased opinion. I've always been like that when it comes to one piece. There's something about that anime I can't stand. Despite that I can't be so hipocrite and disagree it's the most selling manga for a reason. That won't change my opinion though, it has crappy artwork that makes it unwatchable (once again for myself)

I've seen a post on 9gag about it, and Vreg said it's a good anime. I'll watch it in the next few days.
And I also recommend Golden Time, for those who are into that type of anime of course. I've found it brilliant, watched all the 24 episodes in a day, with few breaks. One of the best marathons. Alongside Tokyo Ghoul, those are my two favorite anime lately.

There is a sequel manga, Shaman King flowers, the main character is Yoh's son, Hana.

Alright I got a long list of anime I recommend just remembered about this thread :P

Detective Conan- great anime but if you don't like long anime this is not the anime for you but if you like solving mysteries this is the best anime that I know for doing that"

Katekyou Hitman Reborn! -   Disappointing ending but it was a great anime while it lasted.... I recommend it to those who like comedy and action and adventure blended in together btw the first 20 episodes or soare just comedy and nothing else since it was supposed to be a comedy anime but it changed into an action anime.

Soul Eater - comedy plus action plus good character development plus good plot what else could you want?

FMA:B - as I've listed above, it has everything and it's the best anime I've ever saw. Comedy, drama, tragedy, action, epic characters, epic character development, epic plot, epic fight scenes , adventure. it's almost flawless.

Dragon Ball Z - anyone who hasn't watched this master piece should start RIGHT NOW!!!! And start with Dragon Ball then Dragon Ball Z and then if you really really like it Dragon Ball GT which isn't canon after that start the movies.

Naruto/Naruto Shippuden~Good action, char dev/dialogue, and overall story and animation in general.

FMA~Despite what most people say, this is far superior to FMA:B, as FMA:B seems to just screw up everything FMA did first and then copies DBZ for the rest of the show. WARNING, a little bit after the first half of this show, and especially towards the ending, you might find yourself a bit put off by the way the story (but mostly the characters' characters) change.

Kiba~Want an original story, smart characters that stay true to themselves and are also affected by the events that happen to/around them, good animation, and some cool plot twists? Check this show out, you'll come to love it, as it's on par with Naruto Shippuden and is able to go over it at times. Fighting might not be the most flashy, but it stays true to the fiction at least and doesn't try to go over the top all the time. WARNING: If you're not a big fan of death, don't watch this, because a LOT of characters die in this show, ranging from main ones to minor ones. Then again, if you AREN'T a big fan of death...why are you watching fighting anime in the first place?

SAO/SAO2: SAO2 might lag a bit behind in terms of quality, but both shows are a good watch and I would highly recommend them. WARNING: After Season 1 of SAO, things get...really sexual...stereotypically speaking. Ladies may not like how the heroine is put up as a "damsel in distress".

FairyTale: I'll admit it, I originally ragged on this show as I thought it would be more for kids. However, once I actually started to WATCH it, I found it to be on par with the likes of Naruto and...at times...Naruto Shippuden. Doesn't go that deep philosophically like NS, but it's pretty funny to watch and has some great chars/action. The overall story arc is a hell of a wild ride though, so come prepared for that (especially with them constantly dragging around clones of Jellal...uhgg).

Dragon FMA:B did not screw up everything FMA did "First" FMA:B followed the manga while fma Created its own story after like 25% of the show, because it caught up to the manga and I think the manga is the best but that's just my opinion, yours may be different.

Personally, only looking at it from the viewpoint of the shows. Didn't read the manga, and probably never will now that I've watched the first and gone through the hell of watching the second. If manga first anime second was the way to really enjoy that fiction, then oh well XD.

in all of the 6 pages of comments, only one person said the best answer ...

Akame ga kill! It has very entising fight scenes and the story is pretty good, i personally think the first two nd the last two episodes are the best XD

episodes = 24

I wasn't mad at all and yes you are allowed your own opinion.
Lol ok I got it all wrong then, sorry
from the big four, here is my ranking:
1. naruto(shippuden)
2. Fairy tail
3. One piece
4. Bleach
i mean come one, i think dbz sould be in the big four much rather then bleach. cuz for me, dbz is the best anime ive ever watched.
[/quote]
I think DBZ isn't in there because it's beyond them, like if the big four were disciples, DBZ would be God. It isn't that DBZ isn't big, but it's beyond them. People know it even if they aren't into anime, that's how big it is.

P.S. My top anime list in no particular order is:
Soul Eater
One Piece
Fairy Tail
Naruto
Hunter x Hunter
Cowboy Bebop
Sword Art Online
Kill La Kill/Akame Ga Kill
and there was another one that hulu made, can't remember the name of it though.

The purpose of this thread is still carrying on. There are still plenty of anime out there and new ones coming out every season.

I think that Attack on Titan season 2 is coming out in April 2016.

I haven't got far into FMA:B, but if it's number 1 on MyAnimeList (http://myanimelist.net/topanime.php) then it's probably worth watching and better than the original.

There are two sports anime that I have watched/keep watching and I love them both. Knight in the Area is a anime about a soccer player who tries to live up to the legacy of his deceased brother, and the rekindling love of soccer for him. The second is Ace of Diamond, where the main character leaves his small town to play baseball for a prestigious boarding school, and his journey. Great characters, good laughs, and good baseball. Would recommend to anyone.

I think I got to the end of the first season. I don't know if it's CGI or cell shading, but either way, you get used it. Trust me, it's worth getting used to.
The plot is brilliant and it's a really divulging anime.

Next on my recommendations would be Koutetsujou no Kabaneri (http://myanimelist.net/anime/28623/Koutetsujou_no_Kabaneri) aka Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.
Only two episodes are out but again, it's a really interesting concept. Similar to that of Attack on Titan's.
Needless to say, I love both of those anime and would strongly recommend each of them.

Here's a list of those I've got my eyes on.

@Mars Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress is a big thing rn, one of my favorite animez, new episode out. :2

Here are the ones I suggest:
Boku No Hero Academia. <3<3 (https://kissanime.to/Anime/Boku-no-Hero-Academia-My-Hero-Academia)

Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (https://kissanime.to/Anime/Katekyo-Hitman-Reborn/001-What-I-m-a-Tenth-Generation-Mafia-Boss?id=103663)

Some of those might be mentioned, but who cares, they're worth the second mention. :3

However, the anime isn't up to where the manga is, and ends off at probably the worst possible part ever, so you should probably stop around episode 22 and pretend it ends there lol

WTF are you talking about I LOVED YUNO
Look at that

Ultimate Yandere xD

I'd recommend One Outs and Psycho Pass. Really good if anime to watch if you enjoyed Code Geass/Death Note. Great Teacher Onizuka if you're looking for some laughs. One of my personal favourites would be Aoi Bungaku, quite a mature anime with great art and storytelling.

Zankyou no Terror/Terror in Resonance (https://myanimelist.net/anime/23283/Zankyou_no_Terror?q=zankyou)
An anime from the point of view of teenage terrorists number 12 and number 9. In their past they were abandoned and left at an 'orphanage' which performed experiments on them. "The Athena project". After escaping the orphanage their goal was to become noticed in the world and therefore resort to acts of terrorism.

Death Parade (https://myanimelist.net/anime/28223/Death_Parade?q=Death%20parade)
Death Parade is an anime from the point of view of a bartender and his new assistant recruit, however this is no ordinary bar.
Those who have died enter the realm of purgatory and their lives are at steak when they walk through the doors of 'Quendecim' where Decim, the bartender works. They have to play deadly games that dictate whether their souls ascend to heaven or collapse in the void.

Tokyo ESP (https://myanimelist.net/anime/21353/Tokyo_ESP?q=Tokyo%20esp)
A criminal organisation has released magical fish around Tokyo that grants a random power to anyone it enters. One morning a school-girl who goes by the name of Rinka encounters a flying penguin which she then follows to the Tokyo tower, only to be greeted by a glowing fish. She then has the power to enter a state of transparency and fall/walk through solid objects.
An organisation for justice is established and they fight against the powers of the evil organisation.

I've never heard of that anime before, what's it about?
@Mars  SAO is In the near future, a Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online has been released where players control their avatars with their bodies using a piece of technology called: Nerve Gear. One day, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if they die in the game, they die in real life. Their struggle for survival starts now.
They kinda ruined it with SAO 2 tho the first one was the best

Now if you guys are looking for a good laugh i would recommend watching (Haven't you heard? I'm Sakamoto) and another anime that i just finished that i would recommend is (Parasyte -the maxim-) that's all from me for now
