As i am a Lee fan, i think the leg weights idea is good. So there could be different weights you could buy. The heavier the weight, the slower and you move and the lower you can jump. This can increase your normal speed slightly faster than just running when taken off. When you take them off (after 30 to 40 mins), there could be a 1 minute period when you are super fast, after this 1 minute period, you go back to normal speed. Every two hours real life time you spend running in game, your speed goes up by 0.5 km/h. The weights should be visible to to everyone. And an animation should be placed while taking them off. These should be VERY expensive and should have a limited time before they break, for example 12 hours. Also, as your max speed increases, the effects of the leg weights decreases.

I am personally not a big fan of this idea
-
This would be good, but they should be very expensive and should have a limited amount of time you're allowed to use them for before they break.
If they didn't have these two factors, regular training would be useless and inefficient.
-
I like this idea, i also love these leg weights; As a training, your max speed goes down when you wear them and without them your max speed is increased. A good way to train your speed.
Every 30 minutes real life time you spend running in game, your speed goes up by one km/h.
But i think this ^ is too much for a short time, I believe you're always gonna be running in the game, so it'd be very unbalanced if you have these.
-
@rayzote Hour or 45 mins??
-
Still too much i think.... if you spend your whole day on SLO, i can assure that 75% ingame you're gonna be running, if you wear these, let's say 10 hours would be about 7-8 km/h added to your speed. Therefore, in one day you increased almost 10 km/h ,and if you ask me, that's too much.
This is just what i think tho, i'm not even sure if you're always gonna be running ingame, not sure of the gameplay.

since our max speed will be limited, id say, for each hour you have weights on, your speed increases by 0.01km/h-0.05km/h
And boost should be a lil longer in my opinion :)
-
@joca94 Yeah, that's better

The whole point in this method of training is to boost speed. This method also increases strength, since every action you do is involving an additional 20lbs or more per limb. (Rock lee had like over 100lbs on each leg? or some crazy shit like that.)
Ex: Running, Walking, jumping, sparring, exercising
With this being factored in the strength/speed benefits of this should be ALOT more rewarding than training without weights. The details of those rewards can be determined by Vreg since he is the programmer.
Also people keep in mind people using this training method will be mostly taijutsu based users such as Straw and just because you know straight taijutsu can be OP don't give your biased opinion towards it.
There are also drawbacks. Constricted movement as well as body strain, even stamina(How long could you run around with 100lbs+ more on your body?)
Players without weights could overwhelm a relatively new taijutsu user with weights with jutsu and even their taijutsu.
So, Do I agree with having leg weights in the game? Completely. Now, The details of the benefits/drawbacks of those leg weights will be determined by Vreg

@Batt Love you (No homo) @Vreg Do you think this is a good idea

Really good points and ideas there.
It would be good if you took note of these points @Vreg

Just ask this question at the Q&A on Saturday

When i considered this again, it will be too OP, maybe 0.005 km/h per hour. What ever rate is putted, it should decrease as your speed increases, so it would take you months or year/s to reach max speed
Also, leg weights and arm weights, vest weights etc, should give the user major boost in strenght when he removes them, also in stamina, and it should be perma, i mean, if you can hit a tree with 50kg weights on both legs, you should be able to crack it a bit without weights right? Its like hitting with dumb side of the axe first, and then hitting with pointy side of the axe ;)

I just happen to like the idea of weights being put into the game for training to get stronger and run faster.
