Title: ARC Raiders Line in the Sand: A Complete Investigation Guide
Post by: ParkerBlair on September 03, 2026, 10:10:06
ARC Raiders Items (https://www.u4n.com/arc-raiders/items) can play an important role in helping players prepare for exploration, combat, and contract objectives across Buried City. The “Line in the Sand” contract, given by Celeste, is primarily an investigation mission rather than a combat-heavy challenge. It follows the mystery of a derailed Stella Montis transport train and requires players to visit several locations in a specific order. Understanding the route beforehand makes the contract much easier and reduces the chance of wasting valuable resources.

Start With the Derailed Train

The first objective is to discover why the transport train never reached Marano Station. The investigation begins on the far western side of Buried City, south of the main station area and near a warehouse.

Move toward the trees in this section of the map until you locate the derailed train cars. You do not need to inspect the train manually or interact with a particular carriage. Simply approaching the correct location will automatically complete the first objective.

Since this contract does not require special extraction loot, bringing an expensive setup is unnecessary. A free kit or lightweight loadout is enough for most players. Saving your best equipment for more dangerous expeditions can make this mission much less stressful.

Investigate the Robbery

After investigating the train, the next objective sends you east toward the city. Continue in the direction of Piazza Roma and search for a small concrete tower that stands separately from the surrounding structures.

Use the vault or mantle action to enter the tower. Inside, look for the dynamite detonator plunger box in the corner. Interacting with it reveals an important piece of evidence connected to the robbery.

A Marano Market Business Card will drop onto the floor after you activate the detonator. This item is essential for progressing the contract. Pick it up and place it in your safe pocket before leaving the area. Failing to collect the card means the investigation cannot continue to the next stage.

Search the Market Ruins

The third objective asks you to determine where the stolen thruster valves were hidden. Your destination is the Market Ruins, located directly northeast of the Hospital POI.

Travel toward the collapsed market structure and approach it from the east. There is no need to search through every section of the ruins or locate a particular container. Once you enter the correct objective area, the game will automatically register the investigation as complete.

This automatic trigger is easy to overlook if you expect every contract objective to involve an interaction. Following the route and watching for the objective update is the fastest way to move forward.

Explore the Merchant's Apartment

The final stage of the contract takes you northeast of the Market Ruins. The merchant's nearby apartment sits toward the upper-right edge of Buried City, just north of Dune's End.

Enter the building through the front door and look for an open elevator shaft or elevator doorway. A zipline inside provides access to the basement. Ride the zipline down and turn right once you reach the lower level.

You should find a stack of cardboard boxes nearby. Approach them and use the interaction prompt to photograph the evidence. Taking the photograph completes the final objective and finishes the investigation.

Return to Speranza

Once all four objectives have been completed, return to Speranza and speak with Celeste to turn in the contract. The rewards include 2 Exodus Modules, 2 Magnetic Accelerators, and 2 Magnetrons.

The mission is a good example of how preparation and map knowledge can be more valuable than expensive equipment. Players who remember the order of the train, concrete tower, Market Ruins, and apartment basement can complete the contract efficiently while avoiding unnecessary fights. Keeping a light setup also leaves room for useful loot collected during the journey.

Prepare for More Expeditions

After completing Line in the Sand, players can use the rewards and other resources gained from the run to prepare for future contracts. Blueprints and equipment can become increasingly useful as exploration becomes more demanding, especially when players begin tackling areas with stronger threats and higher risks.

For players expanding their collection and looking for additional crafting options, ARC Raiders BluePrints for sale (https://www.u4n.com/arc-raiders/items) can be another resource to consider when preparing for upcoming adventures. Having useful blueprints available can make equipment planning more flexible and help players focus on the activities they enjoy most.

The Line in the Sand contract ultimately rewards careful movement and attention to objectives rather than aggressive combat. By following the investigation in order, securing the Marano Market Business Card, and photographing the final evidence, players can complete the entire mission with relatively little risk. Once the contract is turned in, the rewards provide a useful boost for the next stage of your ARC Raiders journey.
