My unity Says "Failed to Download Data file", I've Reopened firefox and redownloaded unity,
Try the following:

1. Completely uninstall Unity Web Player from your computer and restart it.
2. Install this http://webplayer.unity3d.com/download_webplayer-3.x/UnityWebPlayerFull.exe (http://webplayer.unity3d.com/download_webplayer-3.x/UnityWebPlayerFull.exe).

I have this regularly, I just close all of my browsers and after that it works most of the time.

This seems to be a recurring problem, but it will be fixed when the standalone comes out. So for anyone that can't currently play for whatever reason, not to worry - the standalone will sort out many browser + unity web player issues people are having, as well as increase fps, I have heard.

Yep, I tried this on my pc and the only way to get SLO working was to use  standalone. I think it might be something to do with windows 8?
