I decided to make a thread in the new section rather than keep posting in my old thread in the Drawings section.
So these are some building models I've made yesterday (except for the first one, that one's older). Just as always opinions are welcome :)

Thank you man ;)
Lately I do my best to practice modeling as much as possible a day. I have to neglect texturing at least for now though.

Thank you :)

I sure will :)
It's the last week of school, after that I'll have all the time I need to gather more knowledge. Thanks :)
-
NICE m4r1us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*clap clap!*
-
Thanks ;)
-
Lookin good ;)
-
Thank you :)
-
They're looking really good :)
I was wondering what polycount you're using on your cylinders? They seem way smooth o.O
-
Hey thank you!
And about the cylinders, they're regular cylinders having 18 side polys and the two caps, so totally no more than 20. It's the smoothing groups that make it look smooth. Now if you're using blender there's a way to do this. I've never used Edge Split myself when I was using blender but it seems to be working fine. Here's a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvsYUDvIcWo
If there's anything my limited knowledge can help you with don't hesitate to ask :)
-
Ah okay :) Yeah, I know of edge split :P Coming from Maya, Blender's modifiers kind of scared me and made me wonder if they was faking geometry, or actually creating more geometry xP
Anyway, I'll probably have a 3d thread soon too where I'll put some future works.
Looking forward to see more of your work :D

Also here is another building. I usually upload more that 1 pic at a time but this time around I have a question.
Now to my question: Is there any way of adding an interior with walls and whatnot inside an existing building that has none? Or the only way to make a building with interiors is to create it from AEC Walls or splines from the very beginning?
I thought the shell modifier might work but I had some bad results using it.
-
If you're thinking about making your walls thicker, resulting in an interior wall as well as exterior wall, then you could try using solidify I guess?

Thanks I think solidify = shell in 3ds modifiers list. I had some problems with that but I guess I am doing something wrong. Thank you^^
-
For those long rectangular areas on the building, you should just make them one individual plank. It'll significantly reduce the polycount.
-
Good job m4r1us.
-
Badass models. It sure will do good to the community. Keep up the good work. ;)
-
Awesome models, all of them!
-
Thank you everyone !
And Lumen, I've noted that thanks ^^

I used to do this a lot. The first thing is to make sure you have a very accurate understanding of your building layout. You COULD shell to make things more even, but that will also inflate the inside of the house. Then again, you can always go back and make edits later. Also, if you're going to shell, make sure that you've tightened up your building's topology. Shelling like that could lead edges collapsing in onto themselves. Make sure to tick "Straighten corners" btw.

might be late but your models are great

Why did you stop making them ?
-
Why did you stop making them ?
Actually, I didn't, I just stopped rendering them for a while, until I get better at least. Practiced quite a lot this summer, and learned pretty useful things. With school kicking in, I won't have as much time on my hands, since I have 3 or 4 exams this year, but I'll definitely try to start posting models again from time to time. ;)
-
Some new ones. Started learning about adding interiors.

The poly count is so high because of the planks on the cylindrical roof of the mansion.

You know that this:

are not made by him. It's just a site where some guys share the models from different naruto games, models that are extracted by them. (maybe there are some fan made models strayed, though)
