Not everyone in Naruto who got a kg is a genius shinobi, they did nothing to obtain their abilities and they still have them. On the other hand, you want some written stories to give you abilities in game? because this is what I understood from your post, but maybe I got it wrong and I apologize if so.

"And it doesn't have to be story arches. It could be pvp tournaments."
Anyway, not everybody who got a kekkei genkai in Naruto does really deserve it, so in my opinion it should be this way in this game aswell.

I don't know if I saw this in a topic or just my mind came up with this -either way I'm not going to check the whole forum for this- I remember that there was not permitted multiple accounts. Even so, it's true that they can change their IP in order to avoid this restriction, still I think that is too much bothering even for such a cause thus is an action that not many will adopt.

Botting is easy to be restricted. An "if" in the games script and there will be only one vote per account instead of one vote per character. (Of course it's not so easy, but the idea is that bot-problem can be eliminated if GMs really want to)

However this would clarify things:

Not Everybody will be a shinobi (MAYBE) some people might make a second account and become a merchant.

Yeah, just having a little bit of politics (kage choosing system) won't be sufficient to call the game realistic. What Xendrus said is great, for exendrusample (see what I did there) you'll need to go to a blacksmith or something similar to customize your weapons. And since it will cost resources you'd have to pay of course and those resources should also be gathered by sending a group of regular people (hireable npc's that do your dirty work) into the mines etc. You'd have to wait for the resources to arrive and there is no way of speeding it up(unlike some strategy games where you build your own village). It makes perfect sense to me, some random guy pays you to customize their weapons and armor and with that money you can either just go and buy resources or pay npc's to gather loads of resources for you. And to get a working space, there could be buildings with a sign in front of it that would say something like: For Sale and some mail adress(some post-bird ID or something). This would allow basic economy related stuff/events to take place and take the reality in SLO to a whole new level imo.

I can't express how excited I got when I read this and imaginedbthat this could really be ig. But still, don't you think that those ideas went too far. I mean i don't remember, in Naruto univere a shinobi that owned a bussiness...

By eliminating that rigged voting system you eliminate the fun of having a weak spot in even the strongest village in the game. I don't understand why people want to simplify the game... Personally I don't want to see a normal mmorpg like WoW just with different textures... :/

Is more like a question rather than suggestion.
There will be the option to speak with other players from the same area ig using microphones? I thought about this long time ago but I wasn't sure that it will work, but after I saw how DayZ/Arma gameplay works I don't know if this will be a bad aspect to add in SLO, too. At least in the RP server, will be very useful.

I would rather prefer a small team, 2,3 or maximum 4 people. Too many people harder to coordinate, easier to get killed.

I vote #1 (my vote counts for 20). So while #1 says 38, it really means 57.

First place goes to #1 with 57 votes, congratz.

Second place goes to #3 with 51 votes, such a close call.

Honestly #1 is fine with me, but I don't think that's fair. We shouldn't have voted in the first place, since you can actually just say that your vote can be counted as 100 or so. Perhaps let us just delete this poll and go on with number #1 to avoid this kind of..... ugh.
Read the OP, we've only asked you for your opinion on the matter. Nowhere was stated that the choice with most votes is what we're going to pick.

Added 20 points to make 57 but the choice with most vote does not actually matter... *sigh* I like this kind of logic, anyway I'm a not part of the administration or one of the developers, knowing my place I'll just rest my case. :-)


If Vreg would have said for e.g.: "Despite the results of this poll I consider that number one is more suitable for what I am following because I don't want too many colors that would compose a messy logo." You wouldn't have reacted like that... Just because he saw no point in being polite doesn't change anything, he still have the last word. Word means nothing, my friend, try to see the message and eventually the reason behind them ;)

What about having another skill-tree, a simple one which would contain: Hearing, Vision, Smelling and Hiding. Every player will have to spend a certain amount of points on those skills from the beginning of the game without any progression unless he gets rank-up (then he will get more points to put on what he wants). On the other hand, what those skills do is more complicated.

1.Vision- something similar to the Eagle Vision in Assassin's Creed, but you can't see clearly the objects. All is black unless another player is hiding. If you have enough points on this skill you can see the position of that player signaled by a red area, however you can't move while using this skill so you will have to turn it off and go to check. When you put more and more points on this skill your Vision will have a bigger range and you will have a bigger precision, Oh yes, I forgot to tell you about precision. Things won't be as easy at the beginning, the red color that indicates the area of the player will be really big compared to the real position of the player, you will see a red area like 5 times bigger than the character size.

2.Hearing- very similar to Vision sense, is a detecting skill. The difference is that when you use that skill, there is no black screen. On the other hand, you can't move nor using camera rotation. If someone is nearby, on the screen will appear some arrows that indicates his direction, simmilar to shooters, when you get shot by someone some red arrows appear around the screen like here: (here would be 2 players around you as there are 2 indicators). Also here, when you put more points on it, it will increase your Hearing range and precision. PS: the red arrows or semicircles won't disappear but they will palpitate.

3.Smelling- Unlike the others two, this is a tracking sense/skill. While using this skill, everything turns black, you can see only the contour of the objects around you and a red way that shows the traces of the player. While this skill is on you can't run, you can just simply walk, so if you are in a dangerous place alone, you would better use this skill for some seconds to determinate the main direction. The whole image will look similar to this:


4.Hiding- This skill is a passive one. Depending on how developed is this one and depending on how developed is the enemy's detection skills (1 or 2), they won't detect you or, they won't have such a good precision as they would have if your hiding points would be 0. In few, this skill is the one that counteract the first 2 senses.
