Description of the character's history: Varden grew up, and lives in his family's small monastery in the Hidden Thunder. He was taught taijustu from a young age by his father and brothers, all monks. When he came the age he was sent to the academy, and soon was discovered to be quite a quick learner, and a very good hand to hand fighter. Though his family is well known for their skill with the Storm Release of the Hidden Thunder, it remains to be seen if Varden has also acquired this trait. Perhaps he's just a late bloomer.

Varden is skilled with genjustu, often forgoing ninjustu to rely on genjustu to disable his opponent's capability to fight, then finishing them off with tai or kenjustu.
