The main 11 villages won't necessarily be on the same footing as their minor villages, i.e Volcano and Jungle, but it would be ideal for them to maximize terrain surveillance and resource accessibility...

I thin each village should have one sword and one other kind of weapon, like Hammer, Axe, Bow, Spear, Shield, Chainsickle, Scythe, Whip, Staff, Naginata, and Dagger, and the swords should each be a different make for each village. For example, Katana, Whipsword, Shamshir, Odachi (literally what Sephiroth uses), Scimitar, Zweihander, Khopesh, Rapier, Machete, Macahuitle, and Broadsword!

On the complete other end of the spectrum, you have stealth and shenanigan masters using body doubles and clones to stand on the stage wearing the Kage hat while they type the political speech into the public chat from the sidelines, circuitous escape routes layered with ambushes and traps, and any other hijinks they can conceptualize.

There's more than one way to be a good leader (•÷•)

I think freeform title systems, like Elder/Kage, Sage, Genin/Chunin/Jonin, accompanying organization and clan titles will give a fair enough idea of who not to fuck with. The foolhardy noobs will provide for examples for the viewers and opportunities for exercise.

I think charging your chakra in a weird pattern repeatedly should be a method of breaking out of Genjutsu.

And that the sky should be the limit for the absolute insanity genjutsus can present. Localized, internalized, widespread, contagious. HUD/UI screwage, reversing player button layout, color inversion/desaturation/monochroming, straight-up fog of war on a variable scale, various levels of camouflage/invisibility, changing everyone around you into frightening monsters or black silhouttes to your perception, changing your camera lens dramatically, to the standard clone jutsu which is supposed to be an intangible genjutsu before you throw elements in...
Fake fireball jutsus or other strange attacks too, imagine fighting someone who seems to have every elemental nature until you realize some of them are intangible...
Genjutsus for silence or invisibility in the aflictee's peripheral vision would help stealth cheaply.
There's also disguising yourself as a thrown weapon, which was always a gold idea.

Beyond that, paralysis with any resulting effects, seeing a fire spreading everywhere or a false earthquake/tornado/storm... illusionary demon or monster summons to mix with the real ones...
There could be a Genjutsu that adds an extra 100% of fake damage that can knock out the opponent if it adds up enough.

I would say that I want all cosmetics to be buyable with standard SLO currency, albeit for far more than with actual money. So players can buy expensive ass cosmetic bling and also paint jobs/skins for weapons and gear, like every color of camo and abstract prints under the sun, faster if they're willing to pay money.
