Anyone here dealt with car theft claims in either the South Side or North Side? I’ve been comparing notes with a few neighbors and it seems like where you park in Pittsburgh might be impacting more than just your peace of mind.

In the South Side, theft and vandalism reports feel more common, especially near crowded nightlife spots. Meanwhile, parts of the North Side are quieter — but still not risk-free. Some insurers are hiking premiums based on ZIP code data, and it directly affects the cheapest car insurance in Pittsburgh PA options available.

If you’ve ever filed a claim for a stolen or damaged vehicle in either area, how was the process? Did it raise your rates afterward? I’m trying to get a feel for what to expect before I renew.
