@Konohuro funny story. I started training when I was 8 in WTF Taekwondo, and stopped at purple belt rank at 12. Then I came to college at 18 an have resumed training, but instead of WTF, I train in ITF format. So to answer your question, technically 6, but I count it at 2 serious years of training

Than I suppose you practice it as a performance sport? Because from what I know WTF and ITF are different federations, and what differs between them are the rules in championships :-?

@Konohuro when I was younger I practiced because my dad wanted me to learn self defense. Now I take it for fun, self defense, and increased discipline. The differences between WTF and ITF include ranking system, forms/kata, and sparring style and rules
