Legends for a village

Hello, i am not sure if there will be npc's in game or if it will rely all on players i am not sure, however, is it possible to have a legend among the npc,  something that maybe updates.  for example i am itsumo of the chiitsuki clan (assuming my clan makes it into the game) it would be fitting to start of with npc's talking about some unseen force in the wood.  but you could add a string in programming that determins if someone had fought you after that then the npc's would say "there is x number of peopls who have claimed to see the chiitsuki's and these are their names"  that way you can start building and updating different tales and legends. 

again i am not sure if this is possible but it never hurts to ask right?

you can always  write a lore for stuff like that y'know... cuz at this stage of the game... I believe thats the best way to satisfy our fantasies
