How will NPCs go in terms of who they are? Will they have different personalities (and I'm talking about the minor ones of course)? Will, like in Mount and Blade Warband, you be able to talk to them and get different responses based on the changes in the world around you? Will they perform day to day duties suited to their vocations (like construction workers actually repairing buildings in a recently besieged village). In other words, will they help carry the world around them? Also, will they stay the same, or will they be randomized? I think having NPCs stay the same once they're generated until their demise is better, as you get to know the type of people living in the world around them, and how the changes brought about by conflict affect them (like an orphan crying over dead parents or a merchant caravan asking for you to identify yourself if you come too close).
