Decent.
My advice is: try to use templates and you will get rid of those disturbing disproportions.

Very good, but the actual blade is way too short.

theres some things i couldn't do such as fill in the gap were i cut(its open if you look at it)

I suppose you are using 3ds max judging on the interface ?
You can fill those gaps easily. You first have to convert your mesh to "editable poly" (if you haven't done this yet) and move to edge modeling. There should be an option called "Bridge". Use it by selecting 2 parallel edges that are on the same x-y coordinates (note that the z coordinates are different), click the Bridge button and Voila.

PS: Don't select the entire edge, like from where the gap begins to where it ends, you will have to select one edge at a time (one edge= the line between two vertexes). Also there will be a problem if you don't have the same number of edges on those two sides.
If you are at the beginning and you need more accurate instruction tell me. And feel free to ask me whenever you have a question, I am glad to help everyone with the little amount of knowledge that I own, and I don't bite xD

Personal Kunai

This one looks nice. Still I don't get why you created that little cone there... If you want to make a nice looking handle-end, you will have to work more: You have to merge the blade with that cone that you created. This implies adding vertexes on the blade that allow you to merge one vertex of the blade with one vertex of the handle-end. Otherwise, when you will apply texture on it, there will clearly appear that is one object inside another and will bother the eye, if you know what I am saying. Also this would generate bugs when implemented in a game.
I know that you are making this for fun, for gaining experience, not for adding it in a game or I don't know what. But I am saying those things because is the only way you can improve faster. By defeating yourself you will get better and better and by wanting to get the perfection out of your model, you can reach a good level of professionalism.
I am sorry if I am bothersome :)

I would say make Zabuza's blade a little darker, and the kunai knife a little lighter in colour. Apart from that they're pretty good

I don't think he focused on colors and textures. The colors there are just guidance, it could have been very good all grey as it is by default. What you should observe is the amount of details put in modeling.

@limits I will send you a PM with exactly all the steps that you will have to follow.

@Konohuro do you also think you could teach me reference modelling please, i've tried it but i end up messing up

I suggest you start with a 2D model- this requires only one reference. While the 3D models require 2 reference images of the same object- one picture that illustrates the object from front view and one from side view(profile).
I would gladly help you myself but I cant without showing you somehow. So I recommend you to follow this tutorial: is really good.

The idea is to start with a rectangle and finish like this:

But you will see this in the tutorial.

When you are modeling a 3D object you want to find a template like this:

There are 3 types of postures for human modeling:
1. The one where the hands are straight close to the body.- I don't recommend this in any situation
2. The one where hands are at 45 degrees.- This is very good and it's the most used when modeling
3. The one where the hands form a right angle with the body (90 degrees).- When you want to animate this one is the best to use.

Also you have to make sure that your reference has no bend joints.
