Shinobi Life Online Suggestions / Re: Length of term for kage's
« on: October 01, 2014, 08:43:39 »
In the real Naruto, Kage last for a pretty long time- I.E: Minato and the Third Hokage, Hiruzen. Minato was a short lived Hokage, with Hiruzen re-taking the reins for a long future. Putting a time-cap on the time a player will happen, but it needs to be longer than a few months. With what Vreg said, automated re-elections will solve inactive Kages.

A solution to a poor Kage - If there is a council of sorts for the villages like in the series, allow majority veto power, allowing them to over-throw the current Kage in place followed by a re-election for the next.
If there isn't a council, simply implement one in the future or put it up for public majority instead. I mean, in reality people revolt if there is a terrible leader who is bad, cruel or refuses to give up leadership, look at the revolutions in the past: American Revolution, the Haitians, French, etc.

TL;DR - Make the Kage term lengths more than 3~4 months: add veto systems for the crappy Kages that /WILL/ occur. inb4 dictatorz.
I personally don't mind a Kage term of 3-4 months or even longer than that. A village council or parliament would be interesting as well. We could actually implement a full-fledged political system with more than just one leader and a council.
Cue the corruption and inside jobs.
That'll make it even more fun :D

this gives the players political might, thats one of the things that really gets me hyped for future Shinobi Life Online. I mean, how cool would it be to actually influence the flow of ur country by manipulating the politics? that would make "charismatic" ppl very mighty in Shinobi Life Online. if we keep this up this game might actually to be as realistic as ours except for the naruto twist.
It's a lot harder to put charisma to use in a game compared to real life. It'll just be people like m4 playing with thirteen year olds minds.

Nickname: Leo
What are you applying for ?: Leader
Why do you want to join?: Seem's interesting, I'd like to see what this org is like
Any suggestions for this clan?: Maybe have more committed or more active forum members as the leaders, not an irl friend with one post, organisations shouldn't be biased like that
GMT: Not sure what this means, if it's the time at my location, I live in England and its 6:54PM
For the position you're applying for, why do you think you would be good for it?: Because I'm very into Shinobi Life Online, I hear about updates fast and will be on the forum and game a lot

Either Perma-death or Normal. Roleplay isn't my thing...

Atm I'm leaning towards Normal, although I think Hardcore will be a better experience.
Yeah hardcore will be more realistic and you wont have people just attacking you because they have nothing to lose

There is no "xp" to get, unless you're talking about the teacher giving advice or something. The only way to grow in the game is to train yourself, just like in the real world. People don't become Martial Art Masters by just hanging around another master.

But don't you think it would be cool to have a master to teach you stuff? Maybe it could be an alternate way to train; by sparring with your master.
