I didn't even see the second one, I was talking about the 1st.

The second one reminds me of Pain theme, pretty dark but that flute man, I've actually downloaded these for my iPod

Well I don't think the soundtrack should only be influenced by the japanese music style. Even in Naruto there are some OST that don't really sound japanese. One example that comest to my mind right now is Hyouhaku, it sounds like a song you'd hear in a cowboy movie(at least to me...)
