Would the chidori pierce through the earth dome, or would the electricity be grounded in the earth dome, with only your hand being able to punch through?

Pierce through...Vreg and I had a lengthy discussion about electricity and grounding. >.> The electricity would 'explode' the part of earth targeted.

Regular taijutsu would punch through (after many consecutive hits on the same spot)

I mean like, Hand goes through but chidori is inactive after the piercing. The explosion is still just all the electricity leaving your hand to the dome

you can add a lighting jutsu later... which can rip apart ED or punch through it... but with FB, its is not cool.

Chidori should pierce/break through Earth Dome if used at a high enough speed, I know this game is aiming for realism but wouldnt that mean that only lightning type just should get through/break it?

For the sake of balancing, strong enough wind style jutsu should be able to get through as well. (Because wind > lightning > earth)

Fire style jutsu should increase the temperature of the ED, 2/3 should create a slight burn effect onto the user and if 3/4 fb's are used on ED, it could possibly melt the earth.

Just like Sasuke broke through Gaara's sand dome with Chidori.

True, although sand is an insulator. I guess it really depends on the master of your chidori

of course, the hole would be big enough for small radii jutsu like wind breath and a controlled fire ball, maybe even another chidori could go through if the user is near the hole.

and yes that's exactly what I meant.

THIS is what I think any firestyle jutsu should do to earth dome. (the effect could be exaggerated in sand with it being an insulator)

OMG just make a lighting version of the wind bullet... uses  more chakra but does more damage.. and can go thru earth

just double the layer of the earth dome.. if you are quick enough with your hand seals, just triple or quadruple it.
